Accepting Our Reality As Love

On my decision all salvation rests.

Father, Your trust in me has been so great, I must be worthy. ²You created me, and know me as I am. ³And yet You placed Your Son’s salvation in my hands, and let it rest on my decision. ⁴I must be beloved of You indeed. ⁵And I must be steadfast in holiness as well, that You would give Your Son to me in certainty that he is safe Who still is part of You, and yet is mine, because He is my Self.

And so, again today, we pause to think how much our Father loves us. ²And how dear His Son, created by His Love, remains to Him Whose Love is made complete in him. (A Course in Miracles, W-238. See also ACIM Lesson 238 Insights.)

Our dream of separation is a result of a decision. We made the decision to choose specialness in place of the changeless, eternal Love of God. The result of this decision is a fantasy in which we accept specialness as real in place of the Reality of Love’s oneness.

Today we are reminded that we can revoke our decision. We can choose once again to accept God’s Love as our reality. With that choice, we accept God’s peace in place of the ego’s conflicting dreams. We accept the joy of God’s completion in place of the sadness and loss that is inherent in the ego’s dreams. We accept Love in place of the fear and guilt that come with the choice for separation instead of Love’s oneness.

We are grateful that our mistaken decision has not changed God’s Mind about His Son. We still have all of His Love. Today we choose to accept that Love is our reality.
