Accepting the Gift of God’s Will for Us

There is no conflict, for my will is Yours.

How foolish, Father, to believe Your Son could cause himself to suffer! ²Could he make a plan for his damnation, and be left without a certain way to his release? ³You love me, Father. ⁴You could never leave me desolate, to die within a world of pain and cruelty. ⁵How could I think that Love has left Itself? ⁶There is no will except the Will of Love. ⁷Fear is a dream, and has no will that can conflict with Yours. ⁸Conflict is sleep, and peace awakening. ⁹Death is illusion; life, eternal truth. ¹⁰There is no opposition to Your Will. ¹¹There is no conflict, for my will is Yours.

Forgiveness shows us that God’s Will is One, and that we share it. ²Let us look upon the holy sights forgiveness shows today, that we may find the peace of God. ³Amen. (A Course in Miracles, W-331. See also ACIM Lesson 331 Insights.)

Because of its denial, the ego does not know what Love is. It sees Love as a threat because the ego could not seem to exist in the oneness of God’s Love. Thus God is the ego’s enemy. It projects its own interest in attack on God, telling us to fear Him.

Forgiveness of our mistaken belief in separation reveals the limitless love God gives us, His Son. The appearance of danger and conflict disappears. We share God’s Will for us that we be united with Him in the peace of His eternal Love. Today we open our hearts to accept His Gift with joy.
