Accepting the Guide to Joy

I choose the joy of God instead of pain.

²Pain is my own idea. ³It is not a Thought of God, but one I thought apart from Him and from His Will. ⁴His Will is joy, and only joy for His beloved Son. ⁵And that I choose, instead of what I made.

⁶I am not a body. ⁷I am free.
⁸For I am still as God created me.”

If we are not experiencing supreme joy and deep peace, we are identifying with a false image of our identity. This identity is of our own making. It is not what God created as His Son, our true Identity.

This fact is an important benchmark we can use to guide us to turn to the Holy Spirit for His help. He knows that God wills for us all of His joy and peace. Nothing else exists. The Holy Spirit’s mission is to teach us that we are not what we made up. We live in and are the Love of God.

With Holy Spirit’s help, we will learn to let the vision of our true Self show us the Love that is our brothers and overlook the images that foster guilt and fear. Today we practice accepting the Holy Spirit’s help to learn that we are Love and nothing else.
