Accepting the Holy Spirit’s Lessons in Love

All things are lessons God would have me learn.

A lesson is a miracle which God offers to me, in place of thoughts I made that hurt me. What I learn of Him be­comes the way I am set free. And so I choose to learn His lessons and forget my own.

I place the future in the Hands of God.

The past is gone; the future is not yet. Now am I freed from both. For what God gives can only be for good. And I accept but what He gives as what belongs to me.

I am not a body. I am free.

We are constantly offered lessons. What we learn from these lessons depends on which teacher we choose. If we choose the ego, we are taught that separation and fear are real, and judgment is necessary for our “survival.” These lessons insure the continuance of the ego as our accepted identity. As long as we accept the ego as our teacher, what we believe we are is limited to the ego’s closed thought system.

But we have another Teacher we can choose Who shares God’s limitlessness. He sees what we believe but does not join us in accepting it as true. His lessons teaches us that we are not a body, we remain as God created us. In His curriculum, we are taught that we are Love and nothing else, unlimited and free to extend Love without limit.

The Holy Spirit’s curriculum offers lessons in joy, peace and the certainty of changeless Love. As we learn these lessons, we realize that God’s Love is our only future. There is no past. There is only the eternal Love in which we live and have our being.

Today we practice choosing to accept the miracles of the Holy Spirit’s lessons in Love.
