Accepting the Treasure of the Now Moment

This instant is the only time there is.

I have conceived of time in such a way that I defeat my aim. ²If I elect to reach past time to timelessness, I must change my perception of what time is for. ³Time’s purpose cannot be to keep the past and future one. ⁴The only interval in which I can be saved from time is now. ⁵For in this instant has forgiveness come to set me free. ⁶The birth of Christ is now, without a past or future. ⁷He has come to give His present blessing to the world, restoring it to timelessness and love. ⁸And love is ever-present, here and now.

Thanks for this instant, Father. ²It is now I am redeemed. ³This instant is the time You have appointed for Your Son’s release, and for salvation of the world in him. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 308, See also ACIM Lesson 308 Insights.)

If we feel lonely, anxious, guilty or angry, we have forgotten our true Identity. We have forgotten that we are Love, loved and innately loving. Forgiveness is the means to remember. Forgiveness releases the past by no longer trying to bring the past to the future and overlook the now moment. Forgiveness lets go of the attempt to make a will other than God’s. It lets go of the ego’s resistance to accepting God’s Will as our own.

God’s Will for His Son, our true Self, is perfect happiness, peace and eternal Love. This is His gift, never to be withdrawn. In answer for our mistaken wish to make a will of our own, He gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us Home. It is time to fire the ego as our guide. It only directs us to the emptiness of illusions.

Today we choose the Holy Spirit by stepping back from the chaos of the world and accepting the peace within. From this place, the Holy Spirit teaches us to welcome the present moment where God’s gifts are remembered. We remember we are at Home in Love.
