Am I Willing to Remember the Eternal?

You are at home in God, dreaming of exile but perfectly capable of awakening to reality. Is it your decision to do so?… When you remember, you will know that what you remember is eternal, and therefore now. (A Course in Miracles T-10.I.2:1-2, 3:7)

Today my focus is on being willing to awaken to Reality. When I am willing to remember the eternal, the Holy Spirit will respond by bringing the truth of Love’s eternal presence to my awareness. When I am willing to remember Reality, I will feel the peace and joy that are inherent in this choice. I don’t have to wait for future happiness — it is here now because Love is eternal. Today I am willing to be aware of eternal Love now. Another way to say this is that I am willing to be happy now.

I have observed that I get tense when I hear someone being judgmental or read a judgmental email. This is a sure sign that I am responding in kind with my own judgment. Peace and judgment do not go together. Judgment can only come from a sense of being without Love. It is a call for Love.

The answer to this is to remember the Love that is eternally present. My own tension is a reminder that I need to accept that I remain in God’s Love. When I remember, I will naturally offer Love to any appearance of judgment. This is how I remove the barriers to Love’s presence.
