Beholding Innocence Brings Joy

Minds that are joined and recognize they are, can feel no guilt. For they cannot attack, and they rejoice that this is so, seeing their safety in this happy fact. Their joy is in the innocence they see. And thus they seek for it, because it is their purpose to behold it and rejoice. (A Course in Miracles, T-25.IV.1:1-4)

Everyone is looking for happiness. We are now learning that joy comes to us naturally as we look for and find the innocence in every brother we see or even think of. As we practice this more and more every day, our level of peace and joy expands as we see the truth about every brother.

We will see the innocence in every brother when we choose the Holy Spirit as our Guide instead of the ego. The Holy Spirit is our Guide to joy. As we follow Holy Spirit’s lead, the fear and guilt of the ego thought system will fade into distant shadows and then disappear in the Light of Love.
