Welcoming the Love of God

Today we give prominence to letting the ego veil be lifted. We make it a priority to allow the Holy Spirit to reinterpret everything we perceive. As we do this, we allow peace to fill every part of your minds. We let ourselves remember that we rest in God eternally, along with every brother. We let our thoughts of separation be dissolved in Holy Spirit’s Light. Thus we welcome the Love of God.

We Are One with God’s Light

In this world you can become a spotless mirror, in which the Holiness of your Creator shines forth from you to all around you. You can reflect Heaven here. Yet no reflections of the images of other gods must dim the mirror that would hold God’s reflection in it. Earth can reflect Heaven or hell; God or the ego. You need but leave the mirror clean and clear of all the images of hidden darkness you have drawn upon it. God will shine upon it of Himself. Only the clear reflection of Himself can be perceived upon it.

Could you but realize for a single instant the power of healing that the reflection of God, shining in you, can bring to all the world, you could not wait to make the mirror of your mind clean to receive the image of the holiness that heals the world. (A Course in Miracles, T-14.IX.5;7:1)

We are returning to the truth that we are one with God’s Light. Our practice for today is to let God’s Light shine through unimpeded by false ideas of separation. His Light will show us the Love beyond all the images of the ego. We will see our oneness with all our brothers who are also one with God’s Light.

Reflect the Peace of Heaven Here

The reflections you accept into the mirror of your mind in time but bring eternity nearer or farther. But eternity itself is beyond all time. Reach out of time and touch [eternity], with the help of its reflection in you. And you will turn from time to holiness, as surely as the reflection of holiness calls everyone to lay all guilt aside. Reflect the peace of Heaven here, and bring this world to Heaven. For the reflection of truth draws everyone to truth, and as they enter into it they leave all reflections behind. (A Course in Miracles, T-14.X.1:2-6)

Christ’s vision sees the reflection of holiness here because it sees with forgiving eyes. As we accept Christ’s vision with the Holy Spirit’s help, we let go of guilt and make way for the peace of Heaven. By our demonstration of seeing innocence, we inspire our brothers to join us in letting go of guilt.

Today our practice is to join with the Holy Spirit in our minds to see with Christ’s vision. This is how we will reflect the peace of Heaven here.

Letting the Door to Love Be Opened

The world I see holds my fearful self-image in place, and guarantees its continuance. While I see the world as I see it now, truth cannot enter my awareness. I would let the door behind this world be opened for me, that I may look past it to the world that reflects the Love of God. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.56.3:2-4)

On our own we cannot open the door that hides the world that reflects the Love of God. It is the belief that we are on our own that keeps the door closed. It is this belief that must be undone.

God gave us the Holy Spirit to help us let go of this limiting belief. All we need do is bring these beliefs, and the images that represent them, to the Holy Spirit in our minds. We just need to be willing to let Him shine His Light to show us the truth beyond these images and beliefs. This is forgiveness.

Our practice today is to stay in peace. The Holy Spirit is always at peace. We connect with His help by joining in that peace. In peace we receive the vision that sees past appearances to the certainty of changeless Love. This is how we let the door be opened to the world that reflects the Love of God.

We Rest Our Minds in God Today

This day my mind is quiet, to receive the Thoughts You offer me. And I accept what comes from You, instead of from myself. I do not know the way to You. But You are wholly certain. Father, guide Your Son along the quiet path that leads to You. Let my forgiveness be complete, and let the memory of You return to me. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.291.2)

Today we let our minds rest in God. We get off the merry-go-round and choose a day of quiet and of peace. We open our minds to Holy Spirit’s thoughts, which will always show us the Love and innocence that lie beyond the images of fear and guilt. We let our minds rest in God today and receive the many blessings that forgiveness reveals to us. And we give thanks.

Living in Peace, Extending It to All

The peace of God can never be contained. Who recognizes it within himself must give it. And the means for giving it are in his understanding. He forgives because he recognized the truth in him. The peace of God is shining in you now, and in all living things. In quietness is it acknowledged universally. For what your inward vision looks upon is your perception of the universe.

Sit quietly and close your eyes. The light within you is sufficient. It alone has power to give the gift of sight to you. Exclude the outer world, and let your thoughts fly to the peace within. They know the way. For honest thoughts, untainted by the dream of worldly things outside yourself, become the holy messengers of God Himself. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.188.5-6)

Today we practice receiving and extending Holy Spirit’s peace. We receive the blessing and extend the blessing. As we practice living in a state of peace, we receive the inspiration that is needed to be truly helpful in each moment. Conflict disappears and our way is made smooth as we accept the constant inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We step back and let inspiration come to us as we see the face of innocence in every brother.

As we accept the peace that is shining in us now, we recognize that we are one with the peace in everyone. We remember that nothing has happened to change God’s one Son. We are eternally safe in the universal Mind of God.

Accepting the Presence of the Holy Instant

This course is not beyond immediate learning, unless you believe that what God wills takes time. And this means only that you would rather delay the recognition that His Will is so. The holy instant is this instant and every instant. The one you want it to be it is. The one you would not have it be is lost to you. You must decide when it is. Delay it not. For beyond the past and future, where you will not find it, it stands in shimmering readiness for your acceptance. Yet you cannot bring it into glad awareness while you do not want it, for it holds the whole release from littleness.

I stand within the holy instant, as clear as you would have me. And the extent to which you learn to accept me is the measure of the time in which the holy instant will be yours. I call to you to make the holy instant yours at once, for the release from littleness in the mind of the host of God depends on willingness, and not on time. (A Course in Miracles, T-15.IV.1;5)

It appears that there is much to do today. The ego would use this appearance to make complexity seem real and to stimulate anxiousness and stress.

The Holy Spirit would use this circumstance as a teaching aid to help us learn of the simplicity of Truth. The Holy Spirit would not tell us that nothing in the world needs to be done. But if we are willing to set aside our plans on how to do it, the Holy Spirit will guide us in each moment in what to do and when. It then becomes a lesson in letting go of our plans for salvation and accepting His. His plan is always peaceful and gentle, as easy as being carried down a quiet path in summer. Every instant becomes an opportunity to let peace reign and Love be extended. This is our practice for today.
