Accepting Holy Spirit’s Gifts

Your Guest has come. You asked Him, and He came. You did not hear Him enter, for you did not wholly welcome Him. And yet His gifts came with Him. He has laid them at your feet, and asks you now that you will look on them and take them for your own. He needs your help in giving them to all who walk apart, believing they are separate and alone. They will be healed when you accept your gifts, because your Guest will welcome everyone whose feet have touched the holy ground whereon you stand, and where His gifts for them are laid. (A Course in Miracles T-29.II.4)

The Holy Spirit brings me to the awareness of Love’s presence when I wholly welcome Him throughout the day. He shows me how to see with true perception. With true perception I see the Christ in every brother and know there is no gap between us. Everyone is seen as my friend when I am willing to accept Holy Spirit’s gift of true perception. I know we are not separate and alone. I receive all this today I use this day to practice accepting Holy Spirit’s gifts.

The Holy Spirit is always present but I am not aware of it when I am not at peace. The Holy Spirit is in my right mind, which I enter through the door of peace. This is why the practice of pausing for peace frequently throughout the day is essential for me to accept Holy Spirit’s gifts. It is in peace that I see with His true perception. It is peace I share the gifts that He gives. “Pause for peace” is my mantra for today.

Joining with Our Father

Steady our feet, our Father. Let our doubts be quiet and our holy minds be still, and speak to us. We have no words to give to You. We would but listen to Your Word, and make it ours. Lead our practicing as does a father lead a little child along a way he does not understand. Yet does he follow, sure that he is safe because his father leads the way for him. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.ReviewV.Intro.2)

In the world, it seems like there are myriad “threats” to my safety and happiness. This inspiring prayer reminds me that all I need to do is accept that I remain at one with my Source and all sense of vulnerability will disappear. All I need to do is to follow the gentle guidance of my Creator to remember that I am safe. And I give thanks.

Today is a day of remembering that we all are permanently joined in the Mind of Love. We are all God’s children. This important healing perspective changes the way we think about others and ourselves. No matter what appears to be occurring in the dream, everyone is still the Love of our Father and nothing else. What a beautiful practice today to remember that we are still one with the Love of our Father. Oh happy day!

A Day of Grace

Today the lights of Heaven bend to you, to shine upon your eyelids as you rest beyond the world of darkness. Here is light your eyes can not behold. And yet your mind can see it plainly, and can understand. A day of grace is given you today, and we give thanks. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.129.8:1-4)

Today I choose to accept the grace that is given me. God’s grace is always there, waiting for my acceptance. I make today holy by accepting God’s gift of grace. By His grace, I could never make a world of lack and loss real. Beyond this world is a world of peace and Love I become aware of as I receive God’s grace — this very day. I relax and let myself be carried by accepting God’s gift of grace all through the day today.

A Prayer to Remember Our Identity

This is our prayer today: Help us, our Father, to see as you see. We would give the Love that You gave us to give. We would see the Love that is our Identity. Help us to extend this Love in the world of seeming separation, for we would remember that our Identity is in You and only You. We would remember that our Identity is Love and nothing else. Help us extend this message of Love throughout the day.

Remembering I am One With My Source

I’m grateful for another day to practice letting Holy Spirit be my Guide in all my seeing and doing. I’m grateful for the opportunity to see the Love of God is everywhere.

Every moment is an opportunity to see the gift of God’s Love that is eternally mine but has been unacknowledged because I thought I was separate from my Source. As I step back into peace today, I walk with God, feel His loving Presence in me, and let It flow through to all my brothers, who are one with me.

Looking Past the World

Above all else I want to see differently. The world I see holds my fearful self-image in place, and guarantees its continuance. While I see the world as I see it now, truth cannot enter my awareness. I would let the door behind this world be opened for me, that I may look past it to the world that reflects the Love of God. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.56.3)

The Holy Spirit is always there in my mind, waiting to show me the truth that is hidden behind the illusions of separate bodies I am seeing. The Holy Spirit patiently waits to show me that only Love is there.

Today is dedicated to letting the Holy Spirit show me the truth behind every separate form. When I am willing to let the door behind this world be opened for me, I will see that perfect security and complete fulfillment are my inheritance. I will feel safe and at peace, remembering that only Love is real.

This is worth the practice. What could be more important than waking up from the dream of separation and recognizing what I am and where I am in Truth? And the good news is that everyone is there, one with God’s Love, along with me.

I have a long established habit of thinking I am on my own. Along with that I think it’s up to me to make things happen. It’s up to me to open the door behind the world to see past it. If it’s going to get done, I’ve got to do it. This is circular thinking because it is this thinking that keeps the door closed.

Two key words in the above quote are “let” and “for.” All I have to do is let the door behind this world be opened for me. My job is simply to get out of the way. Nothing more. My practice today is to step back and step aside to let Holy Spirit open the door to the vision of Christ that sees beyond the world of form.

Shifting from Time to Eternity

Healing occurs as we are willing to let the Holy Spirit bring us past perception of time to see the eternal Truth in everyone. As we are willing, the Holy Spirit shows us that time is an illusion and only the eternal is real.

Our practice for today is to devote our “time” to receive Holy Spirit’s correction of our misperceptions throughout the day. It is very tempting to give reality to all the stories found in time. Because our only true purpose is to wake up from these dreams of time and space and differences, it is only our one true Self That remembers the truth of eternity for us.

Today our practice is to return again and again to hear the Holy Spirit give us a correction of our perception — to bring us from time to eternity. With Holy Spirit, we are reminded again and again that only the eternal is real. We all are eternally still as God created us. Nothing has happened to change God’s one Son. Returning to this truth again and again is what today is for. We have it all and are it all right now because only God’s eternal Love is real.
