Forgiveness Brings Peace of Mind

My true Identity abides in You.

Father, I made an image of myself, and it is this I call the Son of God. ²Yet is creation as it always was, for Your creation is unchangeable. ³Let me not worship idols. ⁴I am he my Father loves. ⁵My holiness remains the light of Heaven and the Love of God. ⁶Is not what is beloved of You secure? ⁷Is not the light of Heaven infinite? ⁸Is not Your Son my true Identity, when You created everything that is?

Now are we one in shared Identity, with God our Father as our only Source, and everything created part of us. ²And so we offer blessing to all things, uniting lovingly with all the world, which our forgiveness has made one with us. (A Course in Miracles, W-283. See also ACIM Lesson 283 Insights.)

The truth is that we all share the one Identity of God’s Son. The truth that unites all of us is Love. Nothing else is real. It is accepting this fact that sets us free from the limitations the ego tries to impose.

We have the means to free ourselves from the limited thought system of individuality and separateness that is the ego. Forgiveness of our mistaken beliefs welcomes Love’s oneness.

Today, when we notice anything that is disturbing our peace of mind, we ask the Holy Spirit to help us see through eyes of forgiveness. With His help we will recognize that what is disturbing us is not real. Our forgiving eyes show us our unity in our Identity as Love and nothing else. Through forgiveness we find peace of mind.
