Forgiveness Is the Bridge to Truth

It is but lies that would condemn. In truth is innocence the only thing there is. Forgiveness stands between illusions and the truth; between the world you see and that which lies beyond; between the hell of guilt and Heaven’s gate.

Across this bridge, as powerful as love which laid its blessing on it, are all dreams of evil and of hatred and attack brought silently to truth. They are not kept to swell and bluster, and to terrify the foolish dreamer who believes in them. He has been gently wakened from his dream by understanding what he thought he saw was never there. The foundation for true forgiveness is the recognition that nothing but Love ever really happens. The ego depends on bodies and forms in the dream to make it appear that harm can really happen and thus judgment and guilt are justified.

When we are willing to open to the Holy Spirit’s vision, He will help us see through the appearances of the world to the changeless Love that always lies beyond. As we accept this vision, it becomes very clear that nothing ever really happens but Love. Forgiveness is natural because it is seen that there is nothing to forgive.

The practice of asking for Holy Spirit’s help with willingness to receive it is how we cross the bridge to the peace and joy of Heaven. Forgiveness is the bridge to truth.
