Bringing the Light of Love to All

Hear, holy Son of God, your Father speak. ²His Voice would give to you His holy Word, to spread across the world the tidings of salvation and the holy time of peace. ³We gather at the throne of God today, the quiet place within the mind where He abides forever, in the holiness that He created and will never leave.

He has not waited until you return your mind to Him to give His Word to you. ²He has not hid Himself from you, while you have wandered off a little while from Him. ³He does not cherish the illusions which you hold about yourself. ⁴He knows His Son, and wills that he remain as part of Him regardless of his dreams; regardless of his madness that his will is not his own.

Today He speaks to you. ²His Voice awaits your silence, for His Word can not be heard until your mind is quiet for a while, and meaningless desires have been stilled. ³Await His Word in quiet. ⁴There is peace within you to be called upon today, to help make ready your most holy mind to hear the Voice for its Creator speak.

²He speaks from nearer than your heart to you. ³His Voice is closer than your hand. ⁴His Love is everything you are and that He is; the same as you, and you the same as He. (W-125.4-6;7:2-4)

We have not lost the path of return to our Home in Heaven. God has not hidden Himself from His Son. But we have hidden Him from our awareness in the dream of separation. We have the means to awaken from the dream and remember that we remain as God created His Son.

We need to pause and let our minds be quiet. The peace of God is in us and available when we are willing to step back from the world’s activity. We we let ourselves settle into this peace, His Voice will teach us to see the presence of Love everywhere.

Our true Identity is Love. With our mind at peace, we know the direction that will lead us Home. We see the Love that is our brother and know It as our own. We are channels of God’s Love. We experience the joy of joining in His Love to let the Light of Love bring Its blessing to everyone.

Welcoming Our Unity in Love

We have a mission here. ²We did not come to reinforce the madness that we once believed in. ³Let us not forget the goal that we accepted. ⁴It is more than just our happiness alone we came to gain. ⁵What we accept as what we are proclaims what everyone must be, along with us. ⁶Fail not your brothers, or you fail yourself. ⁷Look lovingly on them, that they may know that they are part of you, and you of them.

This does Atonement teach, and demonstrates the Oneness of God’s Son is unassailed by his belief he knows not what he is. ²Today accept Atonement, not to change reality, but merely to accept the truth about yourself, and go your way rejoicing in the endless Love of God. ³It is but this that we are asked to do. ⁴It is but this that we will do today.

⁴We have not lost the knowledge that God gave to us when He created us like Him. ⁵We can remember it for everyone, for in creation are all minds as one. ⁶And in our memory is the recall how dear our brothers are to us in truth, how much a part of us is every mind, how faithful they have really been to us, and how our Father’s Love contains them all. (A Course in Miracles, W-139.9–10;11:4-6)

It’s good news to know that no matter how far we wander in dreams of being alone and separate, we remain the Love that created us one with Itself. Our mission now is to remember that we are Love and nothing else.

This mission leads us to awaken from the hell we have made to the joy of Heaven. And our Father welcomes us Home. Today we ask the Holy Spirit to help us see our brothers as He sees them. We want to see the Love every brother is.

As we forgive our mistaken perceptions, the truth in our brothers reminds us of our true Identity. Our mind rests naturally in peace. We respond with Love to every brother. We naturally dismiss perceptions that do not align with the Reality of Love. We know we are safe. Each day brings gratitude to our hearts as we welcome our unity in Love.

Blessing Comes as We Extend Love

Today belongs to love. Let me not fear.

Father, today I would let all things be [Love] as You created them, and give Your Son the honor due his sinlessness; the love of brother to his brother and his Friend. ²Through this I am redeemed. ³Through this as well the truth will enter where illusions were, light will replace all darkness, and Your Son will know he is as You created him.

A special blessing comes to us today, from Him Who is our Father. ²Give this day to Him, and there will be no fear today, because the day is given unto love. (A Course in Miracles, W-274. See also ACIM Lesson 274 Insights.)

In this Christmas season, the greatest gift we can give is Love. Love recognizes Itself and everyone everywhere. As we let Love guide our perceptions, our thoughts and actions, we join with the eternal extension of Love that is God’s Love.

To join with Love is to join with strength and peace. We accept God’s Love by giving It. In this giving, we are blessed.

We Choose to Extend Love Today

I have given what I see all the meaning it has for me.

²I have judged everything I look upon, and it is this and only this I see. ³This is not vision. ⁴It is merely an illusion of reality, because my judgments have been made quite apart from reality. ⁵I am willing to recognize the lack of validity in my judgments, because I want to see. ⁶My judgments have hurt me, and I do not want to see according to them.

These thoughts do not mean anything.

²The thoughts of which I am aware do not mean anything because I am trying to think without God. ³What I call “my” thoughts are not my real thoughts. ⁴My real thoughts are the thoughts I think with God. ⁵I am not aware of them because I have made my thoughts to take their place. ⁶I am willing to recognize that my thoughts do not mean anything, and to let them go. ⁷I choose to have them be replaced by what they were intended to replace. ⁸My thoughts are meaningless, but all creation lies in the thoughts I think with God. God is only Love, so all His Thoughts are extensions of Love. Because our only real Thoughts are the Thoughts we share with God, these Thoughts are extensions of Love also. Any thought that does not extend Love is not real and has no effect on Reality.

The ego cannot understand what Love is because it is wholly out of touch with Reality. We have identified with the ego thought system and believe the thoughts that it generates. As long as we believe these thoughts, we cannot understand the Reality behind anything. The ego’s denial of Love makes it impossible to know what anything means.

Forgiveness is the key to release our mind from this mistaken identification. The way to forgive is to ask for the Holy Spirit’s vision to replace our perceptions. With His help, we will learn to let all of our thoughts be extensions of Love. Today is a day to choose Love and extend It to every brother.

Happiness and Peace Are Ours Now

Can you imagine what it means to have no cares, no worries, no anxieties, but merely to be perfectly calm and quiet all the time? ²Yet that is what time is for; to learn just that and nothing more.

…time, according to [the ego’s] teaching, is nothing but a teaching device for compounding guilt until it becomes all-encompassing, demanding vengeance forever.

The Holy Spirit would undo all of this now. ²Fear is not of the present, but only of the past and future, which do not exist. ³There is no fear in the present when each instant stands clear and separated from the past, without its shadow reaching out into the future. ⁴Each instant is a clean, untarnished birth, in which the Son of God emerges from the past into the present. ⁵And the present extends forever. ⁶It is so beautiful and so clean and free of guilt that nothing but happiness is there. ⁷No darkness is remembered, and immortality and joy are now.

⁵Take this very instant, now, and think of it as all there is of time. ⁶Nothing can reach you here out of the past, and it is here that you are completely absolved, completely free and wholly without condemnation. ⁷From this holy instant wherein holiness was born again you will go forth in time without fear, and with no sense of change with time. Happiness and peace are ours now. It is only the ego’s dream that makes us unaware of this fact. Through forgiveness, we awaken from this dream in which the past is held dear and makes fear and guilt justified. Through forgiveness, we let go of the past. Each judgment released allows a spark of Light to enlighten the part of our mind that has not known the Self we are. This Self is known only in the present.

As we release the past, the Love and peace of God dawns upon our mind. It is a new day in the eternal now where joy is a constant state of mind. Today we are willing to accept the Holy Spirit’s help to release the past and welcome the eternal presence of Love now.

The Value of Wishing Our Brothers Well

Today accept God’s peace and joy as yours. ²Let Him complete Himself as He defines completion. ³You will understand that what completes Him must complete His Son as well. ⁴He cannot give through loss. ⁵No more can you. ⁶Receive His gift of joy and peace today, and He will thank you for your gift to Him.

²Begin today by thinking of those brothers who have been denied by you the peace and joy that are their right under the equal laws of God. ³Here you denied them to yourself. ⁴And here you must return to claim them as your own.

Think of your “enemies” a little while, and tell each one, as he occurs to you:

My brother, peace and joy I offer you, that I may have God’s peace and joy as mine.

³Thus you prepare yourself to recognize God’s gifts to you, and let your mind be free of all that would prevent success today. ⁴Now are you ready to accept the gift of peace and joy that God has given you. ⁵Now are you ready to experience the joy and peace you have denied yourself. ⁶Now you can say, “God’s peace and joy are mine,” for you have given what you would receive. When we judge anyone, we judge ourselves. Anger, resentment or fear do not affect their object, but they hurt our own state of mind by denying the peace and joy of God. To be happy, we must want happiness for our brothers. To be peaceful, we must want peace for our brothers. Only in recognizing our oneness with our brothers can we know the joy and peace God wills for us.

Today we wish all our brothers well, knowing the joy and peace we give is given to ourselves as well. This is how we remember our oneness with God.

Let’s Be the Love We Are Today

The power of decision is our own. ²And we accept of Him that which we are, and humbly recognize the Son of God. ³To recognize God’s Son implies as well that all self-concepts have been laid aside, and recognized as false. ⁴Their arrogance has been perceived. ⁵And in humility the radiance of God’s Son, his gentleness, his perfect sinlessness, his Father’s Love, his right to Heaven and release from hell, are joyously accepted as our own.

Now do we join in glad acknowledgment that lies are false, and only truth is true. ²We think of truth alone as we arise, and spend five minutes practicing its ways, encouraging our frightened minds with this:

³The power of decision is my own. ⁴This day I will accept myself as what my Father’s Will created me to be.

⁵Then will we wait in silence, giving up all self-deceptions, as we humbly ask our Self that He reveal Himself to us. ⁶And He Who never left will come again to our awareness, grateful to restore His home to God, as it was meant to be.

In patience wait for Him throughout the day, and hourly invite Him with the words with which the day began, concluding it with this same invitation to your Self. ²God’s Voice will answer, for He speaks for you and for your Father. ³He will substitute the peace of God for all your frantic thoughts, the truth of God for self-deceptions, and God’s Son for your illusions of yourself. Our true Self is happy, loving and calm. Nothing occurs to disturb Its peace. It joyfully sees Love everywhere and extends Itself in that oneness. Fear cannot occur to this Self. This is What we are.

If we do not experience this Self, it is because we have decided against It in favor of a separate identity. This choice to be separate brings with it fear and guilt, unhappiness and lack of peace. But we can choose to remember the Self that God created as His Son. Every time we lay aside a fearful thought, let go of a judgment or sense of guilt, we take a step towards awakening to our true Self.

Without a body and a personality, we join in the oneness of Love. We remember our Home in Love.  It is a happy day indeed.
