Freedom to Be Love and Nothing Else

I am under no laws but God’s.

²Here is the perfect statement of my freedom. ³I am under no laws but God’s. ⁴I am constantly tempted to make up other laws and give them power over me. ⁵I suffer only because of my belief in them. ⁶They have no real effect on me at all. ⁷I am perfectly free of the effects of all laws save God’s. ⁸And His are the laws of freedom.

For specific forms in applying this idea, these would be useful:

²My perception of this shows me I believe in laws that do not exist.
³I see only the laws of God at work in this.
⁴Let me allow God’s laws to work in this, and not my own. (A Course in Miracles, W-88.3:1–4:4. See also ACIM Lesson 88 Insights.)

Because God is only Love, His laws are the laws of Love. Love is one and cannot be divided. There can be no differences in Love’s oneness. There can be no change in Love, for It remains as It is eternally.

This describes the universe in which our true Self lives, united with our Creator as Love. In this world, there seem to be myriad differences — different bodies, different beliefs, different thoughts. But this can only seem to be in a dream that excludes Love’s oneness.

Today we ask the Holy Spirit’s help to see past differences and recognize the presence of Love that keeps us eternally united with our Creator. We are forever free to be God’s Love, and nothing else.
