Freeing Ourselves from the Body’s Limitations

The Holy Spirit sees perception as a means to teach you that the vision of a holy relationship is all you want to see. Then will you give your faith to holiness, desiring and believing in it because of your desire.

For all who choose to look away from sin [separation] are given vision, and are led to holiness.

The body was made to be a sacrifice to sin, and in the darkness so it still is seen. Yet in the light of vision, [the body] is looked upon quite differently. You can have faith in it to serve the Holy Spirit’s goal, and give it power to serve as means to help the blind to see. But in their seeing they look past [the body], as do you. The faith and the belief you gave it belongs beyond. You gave perception and belief and faith from mind to body. Let [perception, faith and belief] now be given back to [the mind that] produced them, and can use them still to save [the mind] from what it made. (A Course in Miracles, T-21.III.6:6-7;8:6;12. The Holy Spirit can use everything the ego made to produce a dream of separation to help us awaken from the dream. When we are willing to accept the Holy Spirit’s perception in place of the ego’s, His vision shows us the reality of the Love we are beyond the forms of bodies. With the Holy Spirit’s help, the limitations of the body become less and less real to us.

The unity of Love grows stronger in our awareness. The temptation to judge diminishes. The awareness of the Love every brother is grows stronger. As we accept Love’s vision in our mind, our joy and peace increase. We join with that Love in our brothers who are no longer a threat. Instead they are seen as part of our extension of Love. We have accepted It in ourselves and welcome our brothers as we join together in the Love we are. Bodies become a means to extend Love in the world in forms that It can be accepted.

Every day we have the opportunity to free ourselves from the body’s limitations by looking beyond them to the Reality of Love which is everywhere to be seen.
