Freeing Ourselves from the Dream of Conflict

Forgiveness ends the dream of conflict here.

Conflict must be resolved. ²It cannot be evaded, set aside, denied, disguised, seen somewhere else, called by another name, or hidden by deceit of any kind, if it would be escaped. ³It must be seen exactly as it is, where it is thought to be, in the reality which has been given it, and with the purpose that the mind accorded it. ⁴For only then are its defenses lifted, and the truth can shine upon it as it disappears.

Father, forgiveness is the light You chose to shine away all conflict and all doubt, and light the way for our return to You. ²No light but this can end our evil dream. ³No light but this can save the world. ⁴For this alone will never fail in anything, being Your gift to Your beloved Son. The ego is the idea of conflict. It is the wish for differences, so some can have more or be better than others. This wish manifests in the dream as competition, jealousy, war and a sense of loss. None of this can occur in the oneness of God’s Love.

God’s Love is unknown in the dream. Forgiveness clears away the interference that defends against Love’s oneness. Forgiveness is the bridge we walk across to welcome the Love of our Father.

We are so engrossed in the ego’s dream that we need help to let it go. Our Father has given us His Helper in our mind — the Holy Spirit. As we accept His help, we will learn to forgive our mistaken wishes and welcome the Love that eternally unites us with our Father in Heaven and every brother. We dedicate today to accepting His help.
