How to Have a Miraculous Day

You are entitled to miracles because of what you are. ²You will receive miracles because of what God is. ³And you will offer miracles because you are one with God. ⁴Again, how simple is salvation! ⁵It is merely a statement of your true Identity. ⁶It is this that we will celebrate today.

…claim the miracles which are your right, since they belong to you. ²You have been promised full release from the world you made. ³You have been assured that the Kingdom of God is within you, and can never be lost.

…remind yourself that you are asking only for what is rightfully yours. ³Remind yourself also that miracles are never taken from one and given to another, and that in asking for your rights, you are upholding the rights of everyone. ⁴Miracles do not obey the laws of this world. ⁵They merely follow from the laws of God.

²Tell yourself often today:

³I am entitled to miracles.

²Be quick to tell yourself, should you be tempted:

Miracles are expressions of Love. Love sees only Itself everywhere and is inherently joined with all Love, which is all Reality. Love answers calls for Love with Love. Love sees only innocence. It holds no grievances, makes no judgments.

Because we were created by Love as Love, miracles are inherently ours to give. Today can be an important day of giving only Love. We choose to let Love be our inspiration. We let Love be our Interpreter of everything we perceive today. By letting Love be our Guide, we experience the miracles of Love’s expression in our thoughts, words and actions. Today will be a blessed day indeed.

We Do Not Walk Alone

Forget not once this journey is begun the end is certain. ²Doubt along the way will come and go and go to come again. ³Yet is the ending sure. ⁴No one can fail to do what God appointed him to do. ⁵When you forget, remember that you walk with Him and with His Word upon your heart. ⁶Who could despair when hope like this is his? ⁷Illusions of despair may seem to come, but learn how not to be deceived by them. ⁸Behind each one there is reality and there is God. ⁹Why would you wait for this and trade it for illusions, when His Love is but an instant farther on the road where all illusions end? ¹⁰The end is sure and guaranteed by God. ¹¹Who stands before a lifeless image when a step away the Holy of the Holies opens up an ancient door that leads beyond the world?

You are a stranger here. ²But you belong to Him Who loves you as He loves Himself. ³Ask but my help to roll the stone away, and it is done according to His Will. ⁴We have begun the journey. ⁵Long ago the end was written in the stars and set into the Heavens with a shining Ray that held it safe within eternity and through all time as well. ⁶And holds it still; unchanged, unchanging and unchangeable.

³Now we are sure we do not walk alone. ⁴For God is here, and with Him all our brothers. ⁵Now we know that we will never lose the way again. (A Course in Miracles, C-ep.1–2;4:3-5)

While we identify with a body, a separate identity, there is always an underlying sense of loneliness. We seek in many ways to fill the void, the emptiness. But while we follow the ego’s direction, we will never find what we seek.

There is no real cause for the perception of something missing, of being alone. Only an illusion stands between our perception and awareness that we remain forever united with our Creator. We need seek for nothing, for we already have everything that is real. We already have all of God’s Love. In truth, we cannot walk alone, for the idea of being alone itself is an illusion.

Today we remind ourselves that God walks with us. He has given us His Comforter to show us the way to remember we are God’s Son, now and forever.

Accept the Holy Spirit’s Gentle Dream

You are the dreamer of the world of dreams. ²No other cause it has, nor ever will. ³Nothing more fearful than an idle dream has terrified God’s Son, and made him think that he has lost his innocence, denied his Father, and made war upon himself. ⁴So fearful is the dream, so seeming real, he could not waken to reality without the sweat of terror and a scream of mortal fear, unless a gentler dream preceded his awaking, and allowed his calmer mind to welcome, not to fear, the Voice that calls with love to waken him; a gentler dream, in which his suffering was healed and where his brother was his friend. ⁵God willed he waken gently and with joy, and gave him means to waken without fear.

Accept the dream He gave instead of yours. ²It is not difficult to change a dream when once the dreamer has been recognized. ³Rest in the Holy Spirit, and allow His gentle dreams to take the place of those you dreamed in terror and in fear of death. ⁴He brings forgiving dreams, in which the choice is not who is the murderer and who shall be the victim. ⁵In the dreams He brings there is no murder and there is no death. ⁶The dream of guilt is fading from your sight, although your eyes are closed. ⁷A smile has come to lighten up your sleeping face. ⁸The sleep is peaceful now, for these are happy dreams.

Dream softly of your sinless brother, who unites with you in holy innocence. ²And from this dream the Lord of Heaven will Himself awaken His beloved Son. ³Dream of your brother’s kindnesses instead of dwelling in your dreams on his mistakes. ⁴Select his thoughtfulness to dream about instead of counting up the hurts he gave. ⁵Forgive him his illusions, and give thanks to him for all the helpfulness he gave. ⁶And do not brush aside his many gifts because he is not perfect in your dreams. ⁷He represents his Father, Whom you see as offering both life and death to you.

Brother, He gives but life. ²Yet what you see as gifts your brother offers represent the gifts you dream your Father gives to you. ³Let all your brother’s gifts be seen in light of charity and kindness offered you. ⁴And let no pain disturb your dream of deep appreciation for his gifts to you.” (A Course in Miracles, T-27.VII.13–16. The Holy Spirit has a gift for us given Him by our Creator. He holds it for us until we are ready to accept it. We need not qualify to receive it. But we do need to remove the barriers we have built against this loving gift.

The Holy Spirit offers us a kind and loving dream as a replacement for the ego’s dream of fear, guilt and death. We come to the Holy Spirit today with open hands. We have laid down our defenses and are willing to accept His offering. With His help, we will see the Love in our brothers Whose Self we share.

The Holy Spirit offers His Hand. As we take His Hand, we feel His limitless flow of Love fill our hearts. Peace fills our mind, for we remember that this is our natural state, where there is no conflict, no differences. In gratitude we remember the gift of Love that created us one with our Creator.

Forgiveness Brings True Perception

Forgiveness lets me know that minds are joined.

Forgiveness is the means appointed for perception’s ending. ²Knowledge is restored after perception first is changed, and then gives way entirely to what remains forever past its highest reach. ³For sights and sounds, at best, can serve but to recall the memory that lies beyond them all. ⁴Forgiveness sweeps away distortions, and opens the hidden altar to the truth. ⁵Its lilies shine into the mind, and call it to return and look within, to find what it has vainly sought without. ⁶For here, and only here, is peace of mind restored, for this the dwelling place of God Himself.

In quiet may forgiveness wipe away my dreams of separation and of sin. ²Then let me, Father, look within, and find Your promise of my sinlessness is kept; Your Word remains unchanged within my mind, Your Love is still abiding in my heart. Our perceptions are our own projections reflected back to us. Thus our perceptions offer us important insight about what we believe we are. Our perceptions can be effective teaching aids when interpreted for us by the Holy Spirit.

When we choose the Holy Spirit as our Interpreter instead of the ego, we learn to see beyond the illusionary forms of the world and recognize the presence of Love. We see the Love we are reflected back to us. This is what forgiveness reveals, for it removes the veil of the ego’s projections and lets the Light of Love shine through.

Today we count upon the Holy Spirit’s interpretation of our perceptions. For we desire to join with the Love that is the truth in our brothers. With His help, we will walk in gratitude for the Love we share.

Accepting Christ’s Vision of the World

It cannot be that it is hard to do the task that Christ appointed you to do, since it is He Who does it. ²And in the doing of it will you learn the body merely seems to be the means to do it. ³For the Mind is His. ⁴And so it must be yours. ⁵His Holiness directs the body through the mind at one with Him.

How can you manifest the Christ in you except to look on holiness and see Him there? …⁹Set in his holiness, the Christ in him proclaims Himself as you.

Perception is a choice of what you want yourself to be; the world you want to live in, and the state in which you think your mind will be content and satisfied. ²It chooses where you think your safety lies, at your decision. ³It reveals yourself to you as you would have you be. …⁵Perception is a part of what it is your purpose to behold, for means and end are never separate. ⁶And thus you learn what seems to have a life apart has none.

You are the means for God; not separate, nor with a life apart from His. ²His life is manifest in you who are His Son. (A Course in Miracles, T-25.I.1:1-5;2:1,9–3:3,5–4:2. See also ACIM Text Made Simple.)

Our sole purpose in this world is to see the Christ in every brother. By seeing the innocence in him, we learn of our own innocence. Christ’s vision shows us a forgiven world where thoughts of specialness and separation have been let go. It comes to us when we forgive the world for all we thought it was.

Today we call upon the Holy Spirit to help us heal our beliefs in separation. As we accept His help, Christ’s vision dawns upon our mind. As our forgiveness is complete, we awaken to the Heaven of God’s Love.

Using Our Perceptions to Heal Our Mind

The rituals of the god of sickness [ego] are strange and very demanding. ²Joy is never permitted, for depression is the sign of allegiance to him. ³Depression means that you have forsworn God. ⁴Many are afraid of blasphemy, but they do not understand what it means. ⁵They do not realize that to deny God is to deny their own Identity, and in this sense the wages of sin [separation] is death. ⁶The sense is very literal; denial of life perceives its opposite, as all forms of denial replace what is with what is not. ⁷No one can really [deny their Identity], but that you can think you can and believe you have is beyond dispute.

Do not forget, however, that to deny God will inevitably result in projection, and you will believe that others and not yourself have done this to you. ²You must receive the message you give because it is the message you want. ³You may believe that you judge your brothers by the messages they give you, but you have judged them by the message you give to them. ⁴Do not attribute your denial of joy to them, or you cannot see the spark in them that would bring joy to you. ⁵It is the denial of the spark that brings depression, for whenever you see your brothers without it, you are denying God. Our Identity is shared with God, because he gave us all of Himself. When we believe we are a body and perceive our brothers as bodies, we are denying our true Identity. Our perception of our brothers always reflects what we believe we are. If anything about a brother offends us or bothers us, we need to look at what we believe about ourself, for perception is always a projection. So in every moment our perceptions of our brothers give us clues about our mistaken beliefs that need to be healed.

What bothers us about our brother is not about him. It is a pointer to our own beliefs that we need to look at with the Holy Spirit. He will help us see our belief is mistaken. It is a belief in an illusion. Upon recognition of the illusion, we automatically disregard it. We free ourselves to see the Love that was hidden by the illusion. With this recognition, our perceptions are used by the Holy Spirit to heal our minds and awaken us to our true Identity in God.

Willingness to Hear God’s Voice

I can be free of suffering today.

Father, I thank You for today, and for the freedom I am certain it will bring. ²This day is holy, for today Your Son will be redeemed. ³His suffering is done. ⁴For he will hear Your Voice directing him to find Christ’s vision through forgiveness, and be free forever from all suffering. ⁵Thanks for today, my Father. ⁶I was born into this world but to achieve this day, and what it holds in joy and freedom for Your holy Son and for the world he made, which is released along with him today.

Be glad today! ²Be glad! ³There is no room for anything but joy and thanks today. ⁴Our Father has redeemed His Son this day. ⁵Not one of us but will be saved today. ⁶Not one who will remain in fear, and none the Father will not gather to Himself, awake in Heaven in the Heart of Love. God is always calling to us, but do we choose to listen? We have to be willing to withdraw our attention from the ego’s distracting chatter. We give our attention to His Call by stepping back from our focus on the world and going to the center of peace within. It is there to be experienced when we are willing.

The reward for answering His call with willingness is joy unlimited, peace that cannot be disturbed and the experience of Love beyond anything we can experience in the world. This listening takes practice only because we have over-taught ourselves to listen to the ego’s rants and obsession with the quest for specialness. This quest blocks out the presence of God’s Voice, though It is there to be heard.

Today we ask the Holy Spirit’ help us strengthen our willingness to hear His loving Voice guiding us in the way of Love.
