God’s Will for Us Is Perfect Happiness

God’s Will for you is perfect happiness because there is no sin, and suffering is causeless. Joy is just, and pain is but the sign you have misunderstood yourself. Fear not the Will of God. But turn to it in confidence that it will set you free from all the consequences sin has wrought in feverish imagination. Say:

God’s Will for me is perfect happiness.
There is no sin; it has no consequence. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.101.6:1-7. See also ACIM Lesson 101 Insights.)

Any discomfort or uneasiness to any degree is a sure sign that we have misunderstood What we are. Misunderstanding simply needs correction by One Who does understand What we truly are. The ego does not. Thus we must turn to the Voice for God within to receive His kind and gentle correction.

He will teach us that it is impossible to harm God’s Son, Who remains eternally held within the strength of God’s Love. This is the lesson the Holy Spirit would have us learn. But we cannot learn it if we insist on following the ego’s lessons, which are wholly in opposition to the Truth.

The daily, moment by moment practice of being mindful of our level of peace and bringing all disturbing thoughts and perceptions to the Holy Spirit is the way out of the pain and suffering the ego offers.

We are grateful that we have been given the means to receive the understanding we need to remember the truth that God’s gift to us is perfect happiness.
