In Peace I Receive Inspiration

A Course in Miracles says that the body is a temptation to perceive ourselves as separate from God. The body’s eyes show us a world of separation. The body seems to be our identity, holding a separate mind that has private thoughts, different from other minds.

As I go through each day, the sense of being in a body and seeing through the body’s eyes reinforces the perception that the world of separation is real. This perception stimulates a sense of vulnerability and a need to plan for the future. Since the future is the ego’s domain, this planning for the future falls right in line with its hidden goal of seek and do not find. The body is its principal tool of temptation to keep my attention diverted from the only goal that will bring me true happiness.

True happiness comes only through identification with the Self I was created to be. In truth I have one purpose and that is to extend the Love I am. This is where I find happiness and nowhere else. To let go of the temptation to see myself as a body and to perceive myself as separate, I need to be vigilant for peace. In peace I meet the condition for the experience of the Holy Spirit’s presence in my mind. In peace I can share the Holy Spirit’s vision, which disregards the images of the world as meaningless and sees the Love that is everywhere.

Today my practice is to make no decisions on my own by staying in peace and holding my mind open to the Holy Spirit’s inspiration.

Today it is important that I remember that the Holy Spirit is right there in my mind, waiting to give me the inspiration I need in that present moment. All that is needed is my vigilance to stay open to the Holy Spirit’s constant flow of inspiration all through the day. This is my practice for today.
