In Peace I Remember I Am Being Carried

Robert:
When I trust in Holy Spirit’s plan, I am always at peace. I am confident that all my needs are met. My heart is filled with gratitude in the present moment. I feel the Love of God in me and see It everywhere. I recognize the images of the world as inconsequential and therefore non-threatening.

But the moment I shift into planning for my safety so that I can be ‘sure’ that my needs will be met, peace is replaced by uncertainty, impatience and at least a low level of anxiety. This way of thinking is so habitual that I have to be especially vigilant to recognize that I have slipped into the old habit. It seems normal because I have done it for so long. But the benefit of staying in a state of peace is worth the effort. Today is another day of vigilance because I want to remember the peace of God is my own.

Mary:
This morning as I go into the place of quiet in my mind, I am gently reminded that I am being carried. I am reminded to place the future in the Hands of God. I am reminded that, in fact, there is no past and there is no future. There is only the eternal presence of Love. I am gently reminded to step back frequently today, and to allow peace to lead the way. In this state of mind, my level of trust is strong. This is my practice for today, and I am grateful.
