In Quiet We Let Love Guide Our Doing

Today [your Father] speaks to you. His Voice awaits your silence, for His Word can not be heard until your mind is quiet for a while, and meaningless desires have been stilled. Await His Word in quiet. There is peace within you to be called upon today, to help make ready your most holy mind to hear the Voice for its Creator speak.

Only be quiet. You will need no rule but this, to let your practicing today lift you above the thinking of the world, and free your vision from the body’s eyes. Only be still and listen. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.125.6;9:1-3. See also ACIM Lesson 125 Insights.)

There is a center of peace within each of us that we can call upon to help us quiet our minds. It is always on call, ready to bring us to a state in which we can receive inspiration from the Voice for God, the Voice of our true Self. We are not chained to the chaos of the world. We need only call upon the peace within to help us rise above the thinking of the world.

When we welcome the peace within, the distractions of the world fade. The images the body’s eyes show us become less compelling and the vision of Christ within comes to the forefront. In peace we see the truth of the Love in our brothers and recognize It is also ours. Today we call upon the peace within to help us be still and let Love guide all our doing.
