Letting Christ’s Vision Reveal Love’s Presence

Let not my world obscure the sight of Christ.

I can obscure my holy sight, if I intrude my world upon it. Nor can I behold the holy sights Christ looks upon, unless it is His vision that I use. Perception is a mirror, not a fact. And what I look on is my state of mind, reflected outward. I would bless the world by looking on it through the eyes of Christ. And I will look upon the certain signs that all my sins have been forgiven me.

You lead me from the darkness to the light; from sin to holiness [separation to oneness]. Let me forgive, and thus receive salvation for the world. It is Your gift, my Father, given me to offer to Your holy Son, that he may find again the memory of You, and of Your Son as You created him. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 304, W-pII.304. Christ’s vision sees through the eyes of Love. Love sees only innocence because It sees only Itself. We bring salvation to the world when we set aside our propensity to judge everything as separate and different from ourselves. What we see is a reflection of what we believe we are. If we believe we are a separate identity, we see a world of images we judge as separate. This is what the body’s eyes were made to see to justify judgment, defense and attack.

Forgiveness dismisses images of separation as meaningless and having no effect on the Reality of Love. This makes way for Christ’s vision to see the limitless Love that is God’s gift to His Son. Forgiveness lets us see Love reflected back to us in the world. In this reflection we learn What we are. We free ourselves from the false limitation that comes with believing we are a separate individual. We feel the blessing of Love flow through us as we join with the Love that is every brother. We let the ego’s world of fear be replaced by God’s world of Love.
