Letting Love Awaken Us from Fearful Dreams

I am one Self, united with my Creator.

²Serenity and perfect peace are mine, because I am one Self, completely whole, at one with all creation and with God.

Salvation comes from my one Self.

²From my one Self, Whose knowledge still remains within my mind, I see God’s perfect plan for my salvation perfectly fulfilled. (A Course in Miracles, W-113.1–2. See also ACIM Lesson 113 Insights.)

If we accepted that we were whole, invulnerable and all our needs were met, we would remain perfectly serene, knowing we are safe. Actually, this is our true state, now and forever.

But we are dreaming a dream that denies our reality. We have made up a self that is incomplete, constantly has needs and is vulnerable to loss and harm. We need to awaken from this dream to find the peace that cannot be found in the dream. God’s plan for our awakening is given us through the Holy Spirit in our mind.

He is the Voice of Truth. He is there to guide us to see the certainty of Love’s reality beyond the mistaken images of the dream. With His help, we forgive the dream, the made up stories of attack and defend. He will show us the Light beyond the dark dream. The peace it offers draws us to the Light, where we awaken to the one Self that is God’s Son, eternally united with our Creator.
