Letting Love Light Our Day

Whatever I see reflects my thoughts. It is my thoughts that tell me where I am and what I am. The fact that I see a world in which there is suffering and loss and death shows me that I am seeing only the representation of my insane thoughts, and am not allowing my real thoughts to cast their beneficent light on what I see. Yet God’s way is sure. The images I have made cannot prevail against Him because it is not my will that they do so. My will is His, and I will place no other gods before Him. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.53.5:2-7. See also ACIM Lesson 53 Insights.)

The world of the ego is a world of darkness because it is the denial of the Light of Love. To see our way out of the darkness of the ego’s world, we need to accept the Love that we are. The Light of Love will shine away the appearance of darkness.

Today we dedicate to welcoming Love’s Light. We choose the Light of Love as our Guide in all our doing through the day. With Love as our Guide, even seemingly menial tasks become extensions of Love. As we extend Love, we experience Love’s blessing. We feel blessed in all that we do as we let Love light the way. It will indeed be a blessed day.
