Letting the Door to Love Be Opened

The world I see holds my fearful self-image in place, and guarantees its continuance. While I see the world as I see it now, truth cannot enter my awareness. I would let the door behind this world be opened for me, that I may look past it to the world that reflects the Love of God. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.56.3:2-4)

On our own we cannot open the door that hides the world that reflects the Love of God. It is the belief that we are on our own that keeps the door closed. It is this belief that must be undone.

God gave us the Holy Spirit to help us let go of this limiting belief. All we need do is bring these beliefs, and the images that represent them, to the Holy Spirit in our minds. We just need to be willing to let Him shine His Light to show us the truth beyond these images and beliefs. This is forgiveness.

Our practice today is to stay in peace. The Holy Spirit is always at peace. We connect with His help by joining in that peace. In peace we receive the vision that sees past appearances to the certainty of changeless Love. This is how we let the door be opened to the world that reflects the Love of God.
