Remembering Our Source of Real Life

The Thought of God created you. It left you not, nor have you ever been apart from it an instant. It belongs to you. By it you live. It is your Source of life, holding you one with It, and everything is one with you because It left you not. The Thought of God protects you, cares for you, makes soft your resting place and smooth your way, lighting your mind with happiness and love. Eternity and everlasting life shines in your mind, because the Thought of God has left you not, and still abides with you. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 165, W-pI.165.2. It is helpful for us to remember that when we have thoughts of depression, limitation, sickness and death, we are obscuring the perfect happiness and eternal life our Father wills for us. Every fear, every apprehension, every condemnation of a brother, hides the truth from our awareness.

We have developed habits of thought that give the experience of limitation and lack, differences and death. We are now in the process of remembering the truth. We are now reinforcing the habit of consistently returning to peace when we recognize we are not in peace. We are now reinforcing the habit of letting the Holy Spirit guide our thoughts back to the Light of Truth. What can be more important than this? We let this be our top priority today.
