Seeing the Holiness in Your Brother

The Holy Spirit sees perception as a means to teach you that the vision of a holy relationship is all you want to see. Then will you give your faith to holiness, desiring and believing in it because of your desire. (A Course in Miracles, T-21.III.6:6-7)

No matter what wild illusions we may conjure in the dream of separation, the Holy Spirit has a kind and loving correction. He needs only our willingness to consider the possibility that there might be something that would bring us greater happiness which we would prefer instead of the images we have made.

When we entertain that possibility, we are opening our willingness to receive the Holy Spirit’s vision. His vision will help us see that what He offers is what we really want instead of our self-made illusions. He will teach us that we do not have to live with the conflict, sense of loss, feeling of loneliness and incompletion, the vulnerability, we experience in the dream.

He offers us instead, deep peace, perfect safety, limitless Love and joy beyond description. We only need to recognize that we prefer these gifts and make the choice to accept them. With Holy Spirit’s loving help, we freely make this choice and in this choice we see our oneness with our brother and we join in the holiness of the one Self we share.
