Seeking Happiness Where It Can Be Found

Everyone wants to be happy. Every day we search for happiness. Yet it seems to elude us. This is because we are following the direction of the ego, which will always tell us to search where it cannot be found. But there is another Guide Whose purpose is to lead us back to Heaven, where we will find the happiness we seek.

Forgiveness is the key to happiness. If we were as diligent about following the Holy Spirit’s guidance instead of the ego’s, our days would be filled with joy. We would be shown the Light of Love everywhere instead of the darkness of separation and fear. We would recognize our brothers as our dearest and trusted Friends. We would feel our oneness as we see the innocence in our brothers and ourselves.

Once again, our practice today is to hold our minds open to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and vision to let our vain imaginings be replaced by the Holy Spirit’s perception of the truth in us and all our brothers. Thus will we move forward on our quest to return to the happiness given us in our creation.
