Suspending Judgment

The holy instant is not an instant of creation, but of recognition. For recognition comes of vision and suspended judgment. Then only it is possible to look within and see what must be there, plainly in sight, and wholly independent of inference and judgment. Undoing is not your task, but it is up to you to welcome it or not. Faith and desire go hand in hand, for everyone believes in what he wants. (A Course in Miracles T-21.II.8:2-6)

Judgment is not my friend. It does not protect me. In fact, judgment reinforces belief in vulnerability and the idea that separation is real. If I want release from the dream of fear and guilt, I must turn over all my judgments to the Holy Spirit. As I do this, I make way for the Holy Spirit’s vision to show me the reality of Love’s oneness and innocence. The Holy Spirit always sees me and everyone as the extension of God’s Love we all are. The practice of turning over all judgment is the journey that takes me Home. This is my practice today.

I let go of judgment by being willing to let my mind be still. In quietness, the Holy Spirit’s Light of truth naturally shows up. Here there is peace. Here there is Love. Here there is truth. My practice today is to allow the quietness that opens the way for truth to fill my mind.
