The Choice Between Heaven and Hell

Truth answers every call we make to God, Responding first with miracles, and then Returning unto us to be itself.

Forgiveness, truth’s reflection, tells me how to offer miracles, and thus escape the prison house in which I think I live. Your holy Son is pointed out to me, first in my brother; then in me. Your Voice instructs me patiently to hear Your Word, and give as I receive. And as I look upon Your Son today, I hear Your Voice instructing me to find the way to You, as You appointed that the way shall be:
Behold his sinlessness, and be you healed. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 357, W-pII.357. See also ACIM Lesson 357 Insights.)

Our perception of every brother is a reflection of what we believe about ourself. This reflection can be a confirmation of our belief in separation and lovelessness. Or, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it can be used as an opportunity to forgive our misperception of a brother as separate. As we forgive our misperception, our brother is revealed as Love’s innocence. It confirms the truth of our own innocence.

In every moment we choose between these two options. The first option is the choice to remain in the hell of lovelessness. The second choice is the path to Heaven, the remembrance of changeless, eternal Love. We make the second choice in any moment by welcoming the lessons of our inner Teacher which correct our misperceptions with Christ’s vision.

With the choice to accept Christ’s vision, today will be a joyful and peaceful day.
