The Choice to Heal Our Misperceptions

Let not my world obscure the sight of Christ.

I can obscure my holy sight, if I intrude my world upon it. ²Nor can I behold the holy sights Christ looks upon, unless it is His vision that I use. ³Perception is a mirror, not a fact. ⁴And what I look on is my state of mind, reflected outward. ⁵I would bless the world by looking on it through the eyes of Christ. ⁶And I will look upon the certain signs that all my sins [thoughts of separation] have been forgiven me.

You lead me from the darkness to the light; from sin to holiness [separation to oneness]. ²Let me forgive, and thus receive salvation for the world. ³It is Your gift, my Father, given me to offer to Your holy Son, that he may find again the memory of You, and of Your Son as You created him. It is very helpful to remember that everything we perceive in the world is a reflection of our state of mind. What we do with this recognition will either keep us in the dream of fear and guilt or will be used as an opportunity to forgive and let go of misperceptions.

Which of these options we choose depends upon what we value. If it is important to us that we judge our perceptions as either good or bad, right or wrong, we will maintain the dream of being separate in our mind.

But if we truly want the peace of God, we will accept the Holy Spirit’s help to see with Christ’s vision. With His help, we will see that beyond the perceptions projected in the world lies the unity of God’s Love which keeps us eternally joined in His peace. With this choice, we free ourselves from the limitations of the ego thought system.

The Light of Love shines brighter in our mind and we see Love reflected to us in the world. Fear diminishes. Peace grows stronger. We walk in gratitude and joy as we see the Love in our brothers That joins us as God’s one Son.
