Today We Open to Peace and Extend Peace

The light of the world brings peace to every mind through my forgiveness. My forgiveness is the means by which the light of the world finds expression through me. My forgiveness is the means by which I become aware of the light of the world in me. My forgiveness is the means by which the world is healed, together with myself. Let me, then, forgive the world, that it may be healed along with me.

Suggestions for specific forms for applying this idea are:
Let peace extend from my mind to yours, [name].
I share the light of the world with you, [name].
Through my forgiveness I can see this as it is. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 82, W-pI.82. See also ACIM Lesson 82 Insights.)

As we see the Christ in every brother, we are forgiving, or letting go of, our illusions of separation. We are in the process of forgiving the world for what we ever thought it was. We are in the process of letting go of what was never true. This leaves a clean and empty space to return to our true Identity as one with all of God’s Love. This is forgiveness. This is how we become aware of the Light of the world in ourselves and every brother.

With forgiveness, our mind is filled with peace… Illusions fall away and disappear as we receive the Light and share the Light with everyone… In truth we share one Identity — the Identity of eternal Love… We let the truth return to our minds today, because it is what we truly want above all else.

As we willing receive the Light the darkness automatically disappears. Thoughts of conflict and fear disappear. Thoughts of guilt and lack disappear. This is our only function here. This is what it means when we are told, “The Light of the world brings peace to every mind through my forgiveness.” And we are truly grateful that this is so.
