We Are Eternally Safe in Love

You taught yourself the most unnatural habit of not communicating with your Creator. Yet you remain in close communication with Him, and with everything that is within Him, as it is within yourself. Unlearn isolation through His loving guidance, and learn of all the happy communication that you have thrown away, but could not lose.

Whenever you are in doubt what you should do, think of His Presence in you, and tell yourself this, and only this:

He leadeth me, and knows the way, which I know not. Yet He will never keep from me what He would have me learn. And so I trust Him to communicate to me all that He knows for me.

Then let Him teach you quietly how to perceive your guiltlessness, which is already there. (A Course in Miracles, T-14.III.18-19. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

It feels like God has abandoned us only because we do not accept His communication. God communicates one thing only — His eternal, changeless Love for us, His Creation, his one Son. It is impossible that God could ever cease giving us all His Love. It is the nature of Love to extend Itself without limitation.

Our sense of loneliness, unworthiness and vulnerability comes only from our unwillingness to receive God’s communication of His Love. It is this unwillingness that must be released for us to once again remember that we remain at Home in Love.

God gave us a bridge, the Holy Spirit, so that we could never lose our connection with Him, no matter how much we try to deny it. We need only be willing to consider the possibility that what we perceive may be wrong. Because what we perceive is wrong, we are in a constant state of uncertainty. As we are willing to be taught the truth in place of our mistaken beliefs, uncertainty is replaced with the peace that comes from knowing that we are eternally safe in Love.
