As I Recognize Truth, I Am Happy Everywhere

Rev. Peggy RiveraOne day as I was praying I said to God, “Father I hope I am really learning all the lessons I came here to learn because I really don’t want to ever have to come back to the earth. It is too painful here.” Almost immediately I heard the reply, “You will know you have learned the lessons when that is no longer true for you, Heaven is not a place out there somewhere that you will be transported to after your earthly existence is over. It is in your mind now. So whether you are in a body on the earth or not you will feel only Love, Joy and peace.”

Many times I find myself stuck in the feeling that I am still trying to be a good girl, and trying to earn my salvation. God tells us we don’t have to earn it, we are already Love. Our earthly presence is teaching me how much I appreciate that. I am so glad and relieved that God has Loved me from the beginning and that has never nor can ever change.

In Lesson 52 of the Workbook it says, “As I look about I condemn the world I look upon. I call this seeing. I hold the past against everyone and everything, making them my enemies. When I have forgiven myself and remembered who I am, I will bless everyone and everything I see. There will be no past and therefore no enemies, and I will look with Love on all that I failed to see before.”

What a relief. I do realize that I am asking the Holy Spirit to help me correct my thinking. It is my perception that I have joined with the ego in believing that I am not worthy of God’s Love and therefore I am constantly trying to change. But I am also realizing that I am already forgiven. In fact, forgiveness in Heaven doesn’t even exist because nothing outside of Love exists in our true Reality. That is why I can rest in knowing that God always has and always will Love me. That is changeless.

So, as we grow spiritually, we can take pleasure in feeling safe in the Mind of God. It doesn’t matter whether I am in a body or remain as pure Spirit. Wherever I am I am part of God’s Light. In a body I can use it as a tool to extend more Love, I can comfort those who need to be comforted, I can stand in the silence and share that safe, calm, peacefulness amid the chaos of the world.
