Bright Light — A Love Song

Sitting in the Garden, under a tree
Just my lady friend and me
Apple fell into my hands 
I took a bite and fell asleep
Crazy dreams that made no sense
North was south and east was west
I need a bright light, to shine thru

Going to places that just aren’t there
Still in the Garden, haven’t moved a hair
Trying to see but I’m running blind
Hallucinations based in time
But I remember something
in the back of my mind
It’s patient and thoughtful and oh so kind
I need a bright light, to shine thru

Eat from the tree of good and bad
The ego and Spirit each offer a hand
The one you choose will draw your map
Stay in the dream or try to wake up
Lord knows I’m trying to figure it out
The forest from the trees,
what Love is all about
I need a bright light, to shine thru
