Transformation

Dear Light,

I know that You will transform me
For that is what You do.
Yet I find that I’d like to stay
Where I find myself —
Namely in a box.

This box might be small
And I might suffer here,
Lack much and be all alone —
But You know what?
It has been my home
And I want to keep it that way.

All right, I confess
That I could do with a new box
Maybe a little bigger
And yes, it could have
An extra window
And maybe even a door.

But otherwise,
To remain the same
Is important to me
For the world ‘out there’
Is fearsome indeed.

In this my little box
I can hide and be safe
For a season.

Launch of Pathways of Light ACIM Study Group Program

“Where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am.” In the last issue of Miracles News we wrote about the power of ‘joining’ and how ACIM study groups were one of the great vehicles for many people in the Course in Miracles community to facilitate the deep connections with other students that can quicken our awakening process.

This month we are pleased to announce the launch of the Pathways of Light ACIM Study Group Program. This new program serves multiple purposes, including providing a program for ministers who want to start ACIM study groups but would like some support and guidance. For students of ACIM who want to join a study group, the program will provide access to a comprehensive database of both in-person and phone study groups facilitated by ordained Pathways ministers.

This program will be one of many designed to help Pathways ministers who are guided to expand their ministries by offering additional services. We have found that many ministers have been guided to start a study group and just need a little help and guidance to get them started.

Pathways of Light ministers who sign up for this free program will be assigned a Study Group Mentor who will work with them on all aspects of getting their study group started. The Mentor will be available to attend group meetings in the beginning, at the minister’s request. The Mentor will also help with whatever arises during the group meetings that the Study Group Leader might want to ‘bounce off’ a trusted friend who understands.

Study Group Leaders will also receive the Pathways of Light ACIM Study Group Leader Guide, which covers most aspects of starting and facilitating a study group. This includes group format options, how to ‘discover’ study group members, facilitating the group, charging, dealing with different personalities, etc. The ACIM Study Group Leader Guide also covers the different methods for leading a study group by phone, such as free conferencing, Skype and using services such as MeetUp.com and other web-based tools.

This program is provided free as an additional outreach for current Pathways of Light ministers. If you are a Pathways minister and interested in starting an ACIM group, see the enclosed flyer or go to http://www.pathwaysoflight.org and click “Learn More” in the center column on the front page to tell us of your interest.

Study groups will soon be listed on the Pathways of Light website at http://www.pathwaysoflight.org. This gives potential participants a chance to choose a study group that fits their interest, location (if in-person) and time availability.

If you would like to participate in a study group, go to http://www.pathwaysoflight.org. In the center section, click “Learn More” and fill in the response form. We will endeavor to connect you to a group that fits your interests or provide input to ministers who are interested in starting new groups.

We are confident that this program will facilitate great joining on a regular basis within our community, which will be put to unlimited use by our Eternal Guide in the Atonement.

Miracles Practitioner Courses

— in person or by phone —

We don’t go Home alone.
We heal together as we join with
our brother for the purpose of healing.

You may have completed the Minister Training Program and feel guided to continue reinforcing your awakening by joining with others. Now may be your time to move more deeply into the Course through the Miracles Practitioner Program.

To become certified in the 900 series courses, two Pathways of Light ministers who are not certified may take a course together with no facilitator fee. When you have completed the course, you certify each other and send your Course Assessments to the office and you will be certified in that course.

You may then serve as a group leader for that course or as a certified Mind Healing Partner.

As a minister you may request to be listed as certified for that course on the Pathways of Light website for people looking for a Mind Healing Partner.

Pathways ministers may offer group Miracles Practitioner courses in person or by phone and their group can be listed on the Pathways of Light website.
