Snowy Veil

A peaceful smile as
flurries of delicate snow fall
like bits of innocence
released from Heaven.

The veil of illusion
gives way like a silent storm;
countless scraps of the
frozen dreams
of God’s sleeping Son
sinking slowly into stillness,
to rest softly and melt away.

Perhaps the snowflakes
are ashes of the pages
of ego’s storybook,
lovingly released by the
eternal flame of God’s Love.

The glory of the Atonement
blankets the world of dreams
beautifully outside my window…

With a deep, slow breath,
I brace myself for the
storm’s chaos and welcome
the cleansing of my mind,
the remembrance of my Self.

Let it Snow… Let it Snow
