We Are Willing to Remember We Are Spirit

Today our practice is to allow in the awareness of the Truth about ourselves as we go through our day. We all are eternal Spirit, and we are now willing to come from that state of mind as we go through the activities of each hour.

We are the one Spirit of Love, limitless and not bound by egoic, chaotic limitations. As Spirit, conflict and suffering are laid aside because they are inconceivable. As we continue to remember we are Spirit, we have no need to write conflict and suffering into our dream script.

In Truth we are Spirit, complete and healed and whole, shining in the reflection of Love’s Light. We let the truth that we are unlimited Spirit fill our minds today. We let our true Self guide all our interactions with the world today. We let ourselves remember that we are pure Love, right now and forever. We let all our doing come from this awareness. We hold this singular focus all through the day.

Accepting God’s Gift of Peace

Our prayer for today:
Holy Spirit, we open to Your peace today… We are willing to accept Your peace and extend it through all our doings today…  Your peace is all we want…  Your peace is all we need…  We follow the lead of Your gift of peace and let it guide our way…  And we are grateful that what we ask for in our heart of hearts we receive… 

Our practice for today is to receive peace and extend peace.

Whom Do We Choose to Serve?

In every moment we choose between serving the ego’s purpose and the Holy Spirit’s purpose. The ego’s purpose is to maintain the illusion that separation is real. The Holy Spirit’s purpose is to help us let go of the illusion and return to the awareness that we remain Love, at one with Love, as Love created us. The choice for the ego is the choice for fear and guilt. The choice for the Holy Spirit is the choice for Love and peace.

The ego has set up many scenarios in which it is tempting to believe that we need to follow the ego’s dictates, to defend and protect, to seek and not find the Love and peace we feel in our hearts are missing. The Holy Spirit has an answer for every temptation, which He offers in every moment. If we are willing to choose His answer, we will be led gently and patiently to the full experience of God’s gifts of peace, Love and joy.

Today it is our practice to take everything to the Holy Spirit with willingness to let Him guide our way past the temptations of the ego to the truth of our unity in Love.

Seeing as Holy Spirit Sees

Forgiveness looks on sinlessness alone, and judges not. Through this I come to You. Judgment will bind my eyes and make me blind. Yet love, reflected in forgiveness here, reminds me You have given me a way to find Your peace again. I am redeemed when I elect to follow in this way. You have not left me comfortless. I have within me both the memory of You, and One Who leads me to it. Father, I would hear Your Voice and find Your peace today. For I would love my own Identity, and find in It the memory of You.  (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.352.1)

Today we will follow Holy Spirit’s judgment, which sees past the clouds of the ego to the perfect Love of God’s Son. We accept the peace that comes as we let Holy Spirit transform our minds today. With His help, we will recognize illusion for what it is and pass it by. God’s Voice will guide us to see the reality of Love everywhere. And we will find His peace in that Love.

God’s Will Is Our Will in Truth

The Will of God forever lies in those whose hands are joined. Until they joined, they thought He was their enemy. But when they joined and shared a purpose, they were free to learn their will is one. And thus the Will of God must reach to their awareness. Nor can they forget for long that [God’s Will] is but their own [will]. (A Course in Miracles, T-30.V.11.)

“Joined hands” is a metaphor for accepting our oneness. God’s Will is that we are one, which means we have a shared purpose given us by God. Thus God’s Will is our will.

If we think are a separate entity, we will think we need to protect this “entity” against everything “outside” of it, including God. An illusion needs constant defense to make it seem real.

As we learn that our brothers are neither different nor separate from us, we accept that we do not need to defend against our brother, for he is the same pure Light of God as we are. Our brother is recognized as our friend with whom we join in God’s Love. The defensiveness motivated by fear is replaced by a joyous joining, motivated by Love.

In this joining, we accept God’s Will, which is to extend only Love, as our own will. Today we ask Holy Spirit’s help to recognize our unity with the Truth in every brother. As we accept this we will recognize the truth in us — that we are Love and nothing else.

Feel the One Self in You

You are one Self, in perfect harmony with all there is, and all that there will be. You are one Self, the holy Son of God, united with your brothers in that Self; united with your Father in His Will. Feel this one Self in you, and let It shine away all your illusions and your doubts. This is your Self, the Son of God Himself, sinless as Its Creator, with His strength within you and His Love forever yours. You are one Self, and it is given you to feel this Self within you, and to cast all your illusions out of the one Mind that is this Self, the holy truth in you. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.95.13.)

The world we experience when we believe we are a body is a world of division and isolation. The Course is teaching us that we can experience our one Self, which is an experience of unity and being one with all. This experience comes with letting go of a mistaken belief in change and accepting the Truth that has never changed.

We have the means through our Inner Teacher to accept this complete reversal of thought. We do this by loosening our attachment to our beliefs and opening our minds to another way of seeing offered us by the Holy Spirit. The ACIM Workbook lessons are designed to help us do just that. It takes practice and diligence, but the reward is deep peace, supreme happiness and a sense of safety that can never be disturbed.

Everyone in the world is seeking this in one way or another. Today we practice remembering that we are one Self, united with Love. Whenever we think of any brother, we remind ourselves that our brother is that same one Self and together we are the one Self that Love created. There is no distance between us and no differences in Truth. As we practice this we recognize every brother as our Friend, Who reminds us that we remain Love, in Love eternally. This remembrance brings us joy.

Rise Above to See the Love

Today our practice is to be willing to step back and open to another way of seeing. Our true Self, which is Love, knows that only Love is real. When we are willing to listen, our true Self gently shines a Light on all our mistaken thoughts, and we are lifted above these thought to see the Love that is really there.

As we see through Holy Spirit’s eyes, nothing matters but the Love. Nothing matters but the truth. Right now we rest in God, as everyone rests in God in truth. Thoughts of fear and conflict dissolve in Love’s healing Light. We experience this as we rise above to see the Love.
