Seeing with the Holy Spirit to Awaken to Truth

The Holy Spirit asks of you but this; bring to Him every secret you have locked away from Him. Open every door to Him, and bid Him enter the darkness and lighten it away. At your request He enters gladly. He brings the light to darkness if you make the darkness open to Him.…

Joining with Him in seeing is the way in which you learn to share with Him the interpretation of perception that leads to knowledge. You cannot see alone. Sharing perception with Him Whom God has given you teaches you how to recognize what you see. It is the recognition that nothing you see means anything alone. Seeing with Him will show you that all meaning, including yours, comes not from double vision, but from the gentle fusing of everything into one meaning, one emotion and one purpose. God has one purpose which He shares with you. The single vision which the Holy Spirit offers you will bring this oneness to your mind with clarity and brightness so intense you could not wish, for all the world, not to accept what God would have you have. (A Course in Miracles T-14.VII.6:1-4;7:1-7)

Letting go of the dramas of the world seems daunting. If we had to do it alone, it would be impossible. But the power of God is available to us through the Holy Spirit in our minds. He knows we are not alone. He sees us as we truly are — at one with our Creator and with all our brothers.

When we are willing to share Holy Spirit’s vision, the perception of the dramas of the world is transformed in the recognition that it is either Love or a call for Love. The Holy Spirit is not deceived by the forms of fear and guilt in the world. That is why the way to awaken is to share His vision.

With Him we see the Love beyond the veil of images. We see the invulnerability of the Self that God created at one with Him. We recognize that we are that Self along, with all our brothers. All sense of harm fades away as we remember we remain as God created us. Today we practice opening our minds to share Holy Spirit’s vision.

Make Way for Happiness

Love, our true Nature, is always joyous. If we are not experiencing joy, we are denying our true Nature. Judgment denies the Love we are and covers our innate joy with guilt and fear. This is why forgiveness is the key to happiness. As we let go of judgment, our innate joy rushes in to take its place.

Today we will be mindful of every sign of lack of joy — sadness, discouragement, frustration, impatience, guilt, irritation, pain of any kind. These signs are a gift if we use them as reminders to bring our thoughts to the Holy Spirit in our minds, with willingness to receive His true perception in place of our mistaken perceptions. This is how we forgive. This is how we set aside judgment and welcome the vision of innocence that sees our brothers and ourselves truly. This is how we make way for true happiness.
