We Walk with God

I take the journey with you. For I share your doubts and fears a little while, that you may come to me who recognize the road by which all fears and doubts are overcome. We walk together. I must understand uncertainty and pain, although I know they have no meaning. Yet a savior must remain with those he teaches, seeing what they see, but still retaining in his mind the way that led him out, and now will lead you out with him. God’s Son is crucified until you walk along the road with me. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.V.6)

With the help of our inner Guide, today we see the world anew. We see that we are being guided step by step as we quietly give time to seeing past the dream to the truth.

We allow ourselves to rest in God, while we bring His care to our daily responsibilities. We let ourselves receive and extend the peace and joy that is ours forever. We give thanks for the opportunity to be of service to the awakening this day and every day.

Forgiveness Brings Happiness

“Forgiveness is the key to happiness. I will awaken from the dream that I am mortal, fallible and full of sin, and know I am the perfect Son of God.” (W-pI.122.13.6-7)

Holy Spirit, we choose to let the veil be lifted to see the face of Christ in all our brothers. We choose to see beyond the dream of separate bodies to the constant, eternal Truth that is always there to see, when we are willing.

Holy Spirit, today we are willing to be happy, instead of insisting that our dream of separation is real. We are willing to receive Your all encompassing peace that fills our mind with Truth instead of illusion. This is all we want today and every day. We practice opening to and receiving Your vision. As we receive, we give, and we are full of gratitude.

Willingness to Follow

Our prayer today: Holy Spirit, guide our thoughts today. Remind us of the Love we are and help us to see it in all our brothers. Guide all our doing that it may reflect the Love we are. Guide our words that they may carry your message of wholeness. Guide our feet that they may take us where you would have us serve. Guide our hands that they may carry your message in each moment. Amen

A Day of Blessing

We ask the Holy Spirit, our true Self, to be in our awareness today. We ask our one Self to guide all our thoughts, to show us the truth beyond the veil of the dream of separation. We ask our Self to guide our doing that it may always reflect the Love we are. We ask our Self to help us recognize the false images of the past that have disturbed our peace of mind so that we may release them and remember God’s peace is ours. As we let the awareness of our Self fill our mind, it will be a day of blessing.

Serving the Holy Spirit

The mind that serves the Holy Spirit is unlimited forever, in all ways, beyond the laws of time and space, unbound by any preconceptions, and with strength and power to do whatever it is asked. Attack thoughts cannot enter such a mind, because it has been given to the Source of love, and fear can never enter in a mind that has attached itself to love. It rests in God. And who can be afraid who lives in Innocence, and only loves?” (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.199.2)

Which thought do we want to serve, the Thought of Love or the thought of fear? In every moment we make this choice. When we choose the thought of fear — the thought of separation — we choose limitation, weakness, lack and loss. When we choose the Thought of Love, we choose the limitlessness and omnipotence of our Source. We choose peace that cannot be disturbed and joy beyond description.

We choose to serve the Holy Spirit by letting Him be the Interpreter of all our perceptions. As we let Him be our Guide, He will show us the nothingness of illusions and lead us Home to the Truth of Love that we are. Today we dedicate to serving the Holy Spirit.

Gratitude Heals

Today in gratitude we lift our hearts above despair, and raise our thankful eyes, no longer looking downward to the dust. We sing the song of thankfulness today, in honor of the Self that God has willed to be our true Identity in Him. Today we smile on everyone we see, and walk with lightened footsteps as we go to do what is appointed us to do.” (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.123.4)

God’s job description for us is very simple: Extend Love. We were created by Love to be Love, and Love eternally extends Itself. Even while we believe we are in a world of separate bodies, we can still fulfill our function. We can still extend Love in all our doing.

Gratitude always accompanies Love and our gratitude welcomes Love. Today is a day of being grateful for the Love that surrounds us everywhere. God is always hugging us with His Love. As we accept Love, we see It in our brothers, we see It everywhere, in everything. Gratitude builds on itself, increasing our joy and motivating us to let Love flow through us even more. A day spent in gratitude is a blessed day indeed. Today we accept Love’s blessing.

Accepting the State of Grace

Grace is the natural state of every Son of God. When he is not in a state of grace, he is out of his natural environment and does not function well. Everything he does becomes a strain, because he was not created for the environment that he has made. He therefore cannot adapt to it, nor can he adapt it to him. There is no point in trying. A Son of God is happy only when he knows he is with God. That is the only environment in which he will not experience strain, because that is where he belongs. It is also the only environment that is worthy of him, because his own worth is beyond anything he can make. (A Course in Miracles, T-7.XI.2)

When we forget that we are in God and of God, life becomes a struggle. This can be a red flag to us, reminding us that we need to return to our natural state of grace. In the state of grace we follow where Love leads; we do not decide anything on our own. We let ourselves be carried by Love.

We let ourselves become aware of Love’s Presence everywhere… We recognize the majesty of God in every brother… We know that the same Presence is in us… We remember that we walk with God and accept God’s gifts of peace and happiness…

Today our focus is on accepting the state of grace, the state of peace and happiness, that is our natural state.
