Letting Your Light Shine

In order to let our light shine, we must first be willing to receive the Light of Truth within us… In truth, Love created us like Itself… In truth, we are still as God created us… We are the pure, formless Spirit of Love, sharing all Love with all, receiving all Love from all…

Today we practice stepping back from the ego’s thoughts of being separate bodies with separate minds and opening to the truth of God’s Oneness. From this state of mind, our Light shines naturally, with no effort at all. Today we are carried as we open to the truth and extend the truth. We see the Christ in every brother and follow Holy Spirit’s lead all through the day.

The Mission We All Share

I will accept Atonement for myself,
For I remain as God created me.

We have not lost the knowledge that God gave to us when He created us like Him. We can remember it for everyone, for in creation are all minds as one. And in our memory is the recall how dear our brothers are to us in truth, how much a part of us is every mind, how faithful they have really been to us, and how our Father’s Love contains them all. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.139.11:3-6)

Our only meaningful mission in life is to use every experience, every moment as a means to awaken from the dream of separation. Love created us at one with Itself. The dream of separation shows us loveless images. We accept the Atonement for ourselves when we let the Holy Spirit teach us to see beyond the separate images that deny the oneness of Love.

As we dedicate ourselves to joining with the Holy Spirit to let It guide all our doing, all our perceptions, we are following our true mission. We are clearing the way in our minds to see truly that everyone is as Love created them, which makes them one with us in Love. With Holy Spirit’s help, we will join with the truth in our brothers today and remember we remain Love as Love created us.

Awakening with Holy Spirit

Today we practice following Holy Spirit’s plan for our awakening… Today we practice stepping back and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead the way… Today we practice not deciding anything on our own…

Today we give Holy Spirit prominence in our minds because we want to think Holy Spirit’s Thoughts, not the ego’s thoughts. We want the Light of Truth. We want to remember that we are united as one Mind — the Mind of Love. We are willing to receive the blessings of joining with our true Reality, the peace, the joy, the happiness that is inherent in our true beingness in the Mind of Love.

Today we would rather be happy than right. We awaken with Holy Spirit as we surrender all our false beliefs and melt into the one Mind of Love.

I Am Willing to See This Differently

This is our prayer today: Holy Spirit, our one goal is to see through the eyes of Love… We choose to see as You see… We choose to open to the awareness that only Love is real… Help us forgive or overlook what never happened… Help us take every apprehension, every fear, every form of suffering to You… Through You we will see every situation we encounter differently… We will see past the dream to the awareness of the truth — that nothing has happened to change God’s one Son… We give this day to You that we may see things differently.

God’s Peace and Joy Are Ours

Today we choose to be vigilant for all thoughts of separation that hide the Light of Love from our awareness. Our only function is to let go of these thoughts, to forgive the belief that we could possibly be separate from our Source. We ask the Holy Spirit to add His strength to our willingness. We ask the Holy Spirit to shine His Light to reveal the mistaken thoughts of separation so that we may recognize them for what they are.

With the recognition of the mistaken thoughts, we willingly offer them to the Holy Spirit for His kind and gentle correction. With His help we will look beyond the images of this world and see the Love that is everywhere… With His help we will see all our brothers as our Self… With His help we will remember that we are God’s Son, complete and whole, shining in the reflection of His Love… With His help we will once again experience God’s joy and peace as ours… This is what today is for.

Let Yourself Be Carried

Our prayer today is to step back and allow ourselves to be carried… We open our minds to the true perception of the Holy Spirit… We remember that time now is dedicated to allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us back to Love, our Source… Through Holy Spirit, we are guided by Love… We are guided by kindness and gentleness… We are guided to God’s infinite peace…

As we go through our day, we take all our conflicts and distractions to our inner Teacher so that we may see past the ego’s perception to a new way of seeing… We follow Holy Spirit’s calmness and let go of our “big deals.” Through following Holy Spirit’s inspiration we are brought to awareness of our innate peace and happiness… We know deep inside that all is well and that we are safe, eternally in the Mind of God… We practice letting ourselves be carried by Holy Spirit’s true perception today.

Stepping Stones to Peace

If we want the peace of God, we have to let go of what blocks our awareness of God’s peace. His peace is always with us. But when we judge and insist that we are a separate identity, we cannot know God’s peace. Where there is separation there is conflict, and conflict is the opposite of peace. The world of form is a world of conflicting images. If we want to experience the peace of God, we need to become aware of our thoughts and beliefs that make conflict and separation seem real to us.

When we make the dedication to accept God’s peace, we open the door to being shown the thoughts and beliefs that interfere with God’s peace. When we experience conflict in our world experience, we are being giving an opportunity to release the conflict. That is why the practice of bringing all our fear thoughts, our sad thoughts, our guilty thoughts, to the Holy Spirit is the way to open the door to the full experience of God’s peace.

The appearance of conflict in our life then becomes a blessing when we use it as a wake up call to bring it to the Holy Spirit with willingness to let Him show us His way of seeing the situation. Every situation then becomes a stepping stone toward peace.
