Seeing Love’s Presence Everywhere

Minds that are joined and recognize they are, can feel no guilt. ²For they cannot attack, and they rejoice that this is so, seeing their safety in this happy fact. ³Their joy is in the innocence they see. ⁴And thus they seek for it, because it is their purpose to behold it and rejoice.

Perception’s basic law could thus be said, “You will rejoice at what you see because you see it to rejoice.” ²And while you think that suffering and sin will bring you joy, so long will they be there for you to see. ³Nothing is harmful or beneficent apart from what you wish. …⁷The Son of God creates [extends Love] to bring him joy, sharing his Father’s purpose in his own creation, that his joy might be increased, and God’s along with his. Gratitude and joy go hand in hand. When we see something that brings us joy, we are grateful. The greatest source of joy is the eternal, changeless Love of God. Joy comes in sharing this Love. In the sharing, Love extends and joy increases.

Today we ask the Holy Spirit to help us recognize the cause for Love that surrounds us. We live in Love. As the Holy Spirit helps us let go of the beliefs that interfere with the awareness of Love’s presence, our joy increases. We are grateful that we have the Holy Spirit’s help to see the presence of Love everywhere.

Learning to Demonstrate the Love We Are

The ego’s plan for salvation centers around holding grievances. ²It maintains that, if someone else spoke or acted differently, if some external circumstance or event were changed, you would be saved. ³Thus, the source of salvation is constantly perceived as outside yourself. ⁴Each grievance you hold is a declaration, and an assertion in which you believe, that says, “If this were different, I would be saved.” ⁵The change of mind necessary for salvation is thus demanded of everyone and everything except yourself.

God’s plan for salvation works simply because, by following His direction, you seek for salvation where it is. ²But if you are to succeed, as God promises you will, you must be willing to seek there only.”

“²Ask Him very specifically:

³What would You have me do?
⁴Where would You have me go?
⁵What would You have me say, and to whom?

…and let Him tell you what needs to be done by you in His plan for your salvation. ⁷He will answer in proportion to your willingness to hear His Voice. ⁸Refuse not to hear. (A Course in Miracles, W-71.2;5:1-2;9:2-8. See also ACIM Lesson 71 Insights.)

In this world there is much we need to do to set ourselves free. God has given us His Voice to guide us in all our doing. Every moment is an opportunity to let Love be expressed through our thoughts, words, and actions.

The habit of asking for His direction opens our mind to receive His help and express the Love we are. This practice leads to letting go of the blocks to awareness of Love’s presence. We become God’s teachers as we demonstrate the Love we are.
