Living A Course in Miracles — Letting the Voice of Love Be Our Guide

Accepting the Peace and Joy Within

Why would you not be overjoyed to be assured that all the evil that you think you did was never done, that all your sins are nothing, that you are as pure and holy as you were created, and that light and joy and peace abide in you? ²Your image of yourself cannot withstand the Will of God. ³You think that this is death, but it is life. ⁴You think you are destroyed, but you are saved.

The self you made is not the Son of God. ²Therefore, this self does not exist at all. ³And anything it seems to do and think means nothing. ⁴It is neither bad nor good. ⁵It is unreal, and nothing more than that.

Your sinlessness is guaranteed by God. ²Over and over this must be repeated, until it is accepted. ³It is true. ⁴Your sinlessness is guaranteed by God. ⁵Nothing can touch it, or change what God created as eternal. ⁶The self you made, evil and full of sin, is meaningless. ⁷Your sinlessness is guaranteed by God, and light and joy and peace abide in you.

²Should you be tempted to become angry with someone, tell him silently:

³Light and joy and peace abide in you.

Accepting the assurance that our sinlessness is guaranteed by God is the antidote to all our sense of unworthiness, vulnerability, fear and guilt. God’s guarantee is that we remain one with Him. In His Reality, our true Self is Love and nothing else.

We have accepted a false belief that we have succeeded in separating from our Creator. As we affirm that our sinlessness is guaranteed by God, we are reminding ourselves of our true Identity. If we tell a brother that his sinlessness is guaranteed by God, we are giving the same message to ourselves. It is a key to letting go of our false beliefs and awakening to the light and joy in God’s Heaven.

The Light That Transforms Our Perception

It is God’s strength in you that is the light in which you see, as it is His Mind with which you think. ²His strength denies your weakness. ³It is your weakness that sees through the body’s eyes, peering about in darkness to behold the likeness of itself;…

Strength overlooks these things by seeing past appearances. ²It keeps its steady gaze upon the light that lies beyond them. ³It unites with light, of which it is a part. ⁴It sees itself.

Truth is a savior and can only will for happiness and peace for everyone. ⁴It gives its strength to everyone who asks, in limitless supply. ⁵It sees that lack in anyone would be a lack in all. ⁶And so it gives its light that all may see and benefit as one. ⁷Its strength is shared, that it may bring to all the miracle in which they will unite in purpose and forgiveness and in love.

The strength in you will offer you the light, and guide your seeing so you do not dwell on idle shadows that the body’s eyes provide for self-deception. (A Course in Miracles, W-92.3:1-3;4:1-4;5:3-7;9:1. See also ACIM Lesson 92 Insights.)

Miracles are experienced when we forgive our perception and see the unifying presence of Love. Love lights the dark shadows in our mind to dispel our mistaken beliefs in being isolated and alone. As we learn to let the Love within show us the truth of our Identity, we easily dismiss the mistaken perceptions of differences, loss, lack, fear and guilt.

We are assured that the Light of Love is always with us. It is our strength, which comes from God. Today we call upon the strength of Love within to guide us to see past the fearful images of the world. These images are not real. The Light reveals the truth that behind these images is only the oneness of Love. Nothing else exists.

Today we choose the Light of Love as our Guide. It will bring us miracles that transform our perception.

Letting Love Direct Our Thoughts

³There is no relationship between what is real and what you think is real. ⁴Nothing that you think are your real thoughts resemble your real thoughts in any respect. ⁵Nothing that you think you see bears any resemblance to what vision will show you.

You think with the Mind of God. ²Therefore you share your thoughts with Him, as He shares His with you. ³They are the same thoughts, because they are thought by the same Mind. ⁴To share is to make alike, or to make one. ⁵Nor do the thoughts you think with the Mind of God leave your mind, because thoughts do not leave their source. ⁶Therefore, your thoughts are in the Mind of God, as you are. ⁷They are in your mind as well, where He is. ⁸As you are part of His Mind, so are your thoughts part of His Mind.

Under all the senseless thoughts and mad ideas with which you have cluttered up your mind are the thoughts that you thought with God in the beginning. ²They are there in your mind now, completely unchanged. ³They will always be in your mind, exactly as they always were. While we engage with the ego, our thoughts are senseless and insane. But the Mind of our true Self remains unaffected by the ego’s insanity. Our true Self remains eternally united with our Father. This is the Mind we need to accept as What we are.

God is only Love. Therefore the thoughts of our true Self are extensions of His Love. Today we ask the Holy Spirit to help us recognize our unity in Love. We want Love to direct all our thoughts. As we let Love lead, we experience the peace of God. The joy of giving and receiving Love becomes our state of Mind.
