Accepting God’s Strength in You

It is God’s strength in you that is the light in which you see, as it is His Mind with which you think. His strength denies your weakness. It is your weakness that sees through the body’s eyes, peering about in darkness to behold the likeness of itself;…

Strength overlooks [weakness] by seeing past appearances. It keeps its steady gaze upon the light that lies beyond them. It unites with light, of which it is a part. It sees itself. It brings the light in which your Self appears. In darkness you perceive a self that is not there. Strength is the truth about you;… (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.92.3:1-3;4:1-7)

Because the ego is the denial of the Source of our strength, it is always showing us images that portray our seeming weakness. They are false images which have no substance. It is only our belief that makes it seem that we are weak and vulnerable.

But there is another way to see that shows us the opposite of what the ego would have us believe. We receive this other way of seeing as we let go of the denial of our unity with our Source. As we accept that God is our Source, we experience His strength, which was given us in our creation and remains eternally ours.

Whenever we feel uncertain, vulnerable, fearful or guilty, we can use this as a reminder to take this appearance to the truth in our minds, the Holy Spirit. As we open to the Holy Spirit’s Light, It shines away the false ideas and shows us the Light in our brothers and ourselves. With this practice, our experience of the world changes from feeling that we need to protect ourselves from all forms of harm to the welcome and joyful experience of recognizing the Love in everyone and the strength of that Love in ourselves. Our experience of the world becomes increasingly joyful and peaceful. It is worth the practice.

We Are One with God’s Mind

There is only one Mind in truth and that is the Mind of God. The Sonship resides in the Mind of God, whether we remember it or not.

Our practice for today is to open to the truth of Where we really reside. We are in God’s Mind, one with God’s Mind. Our practice for today is to take all our wandering thoughts to the one Self That is our true Identity. Our one Self knows what to do with these thoughts. In God’s Light, they merely disappear. We make this a spectacular day by being willing to accept that we are one with God’s Mind.

We Share One Life in Perfect Love

Let us today be children of the truth, and not deny our holy heritage. Our life is not as we imagine it. Who changes life because he shuts his eyes, or makes himself what he is not because he sleeps, and sees in dreams an opposite to what he is?…

His holy home we strive to keep today as He established it, and wills it be forever and forever. He is Lord [in charge] of what we think today. And in His Thoughts, which have no opposite, we understand there is one life, and that we share with Him… (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.167.10:1-3;11:1-3)

We let Love lead today. We would not try to make decisions on our own. We let the truth return to our minds again and again, all through the day. We let ourselves remember that we are perfect Love. We let ourselves see that perfect Love in all our brothers. We share one Life in perfect Love.

Accepting Holy Spirit’s Purpose

If you accept the Holy Spirit’s purpose for the world, it will in time become a happy place where the Truth of Heaven is reflected, and Love and forgiveness are extended to all. The beauty of Truth will shine forth, the Light will shine in every living thing, and you will see everyone as brother to you. (From the Christ Mind, p. 169-170)

Unhappiness is the inevitable result of judgment. It hides reality from our awareness. It stands between us and the awareness of the Love we are.

Happiness is the inevitable result of forgiveness. Forgiveness clears away the barriers to the awareness of Love’s presence. It opens the doors and windows of our minds to welcome the Light of Love. Through forgiveness we welcome the truth in our brother and ourselves.

The Holy Spirit was given us, in the moment of our insanity when we believed that we could be separate, as our Guide to lead us back to sanity — to lead us back to Love. Without this Guide we would indeed be stuck in the dream of loneliness and loss. But with the practice of bringing all our thoughts of guilt, fear and judgment to the Holy Spirit with the willingness to accept His Help, we return to the joy of our true Self. We will experience the happiness that comes with remembering our oneness with our brothers.

Sharing God’s Gifts

One walks with you Who gently answers all your fears with this one merciful reply, “It is not so.” He points to all the gifts you have each time the thought of poverty oppresses you, and speaks of His Companionship when you perceive yourself as lonely and afraid.

God has entrusted all His gifts to you. Be witness in your happiness to how transformed the mind becomes which chooses to accept His gifts, and feel the touch of Christ. Such is your mission now. For God entrusts the giving of His gifts to all who have received them. He has shared His joy with you. And now you go to share it with the world. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.166.11:3-4;15:3-7)

Today we are willing, in each present moment, to open to Holy Spirit’s inspiration and share God’s gifts with everyone. Because we are one Self, there is no distance between us. We are one Light and we share that Light with all that is. And we are grateful that this is so.

Love Surrounds Us

Rejoice in the power of forgiveness to heal your sight completely. Be confident that on this day there is a new beginning. Without the darkness of the past upon your eyes, you cannot fail to see today.

We dedicate this day to the serenity in which God would have you be. Keep it in your awareness of yourself and see it everywhere today, as we celebrate the beginning of your vision and the sight of the real world, which has come to replace the unforgiven world you thought was real. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.75.9:4-6;11:1-2)

There is a world that reflects the Love of God. It is seen through forgiving eyes. It is ever present, available to be seen in any moment, when we lay aside the past and turn over our judgments to the Holy Spirit to let Him wash them clean of our false imaginings.

We dedicate today to the practice of interpreting nothing on our own and following Holy Spirit’s lead all through the day. We trust that Love surrounds us and is ever present in our minds. Today it is our desire to see only Love that we may remember What we are.

We Are One in Holiness

All separation vanishes as holiness is shared. For holiness is power, and by sharing it, it gains in strength.

The holy instant thus becomes a lesson in how to hold all of your brothers in your mind [see their holiness], experiencing not loss but completion. From this it follows you can only give [share holiness]. And this is love, for this alone is natural under the laws of God. (A Course in Miracles, T-15.VI.3:1-2;5:5-7)

Sharing holiness is the secret to returning to Heaven. Instead of the ego’s way of projecting guilt, we now do the opposite. With Holy Spirit’s help, it is very clear to us that we share holiness with everyone. We see the innocence in everyone.

This practice returns our mind to awareness of our oneness. This practice fills us with a sense of peace and happiness. Judgment is gone when we practice seeing only holiness in every brother. We are seeing as God, our Father, sees. It delivers us from the depression, suffering, struggle and bondage of the ego thought system. We let go of judgments from the past and share the holiness of all our brothers.
