Joining with God’s Love

…give ten minutes set apart from listening to the world, and choose instead a gentle listening to the Word of God.… His Love is everything you are and that He is; the same as you, and you the same as He.

It is the Word of freedom and of peace, of unity of will and purpose, with no separation nor division in the single Mind of Father and of Son. In quiet listen to your Self today, and let Him tell you God has never left His Son, and you have never left your Self.

Only be quiet. You will need no rule but this, to let your practicing today lift you above the thinking of the world, and free your vision from the body’s eyes. Only be still and listen. You will hear the Word in which the Will of God the Son joins in His Father’s Will, at one with it, with no illusions interposed between the wholly indivisible and true. As every hour passes by today, be still a moment and remind yourself you have a special purpose for this day; in quiet to receive the Word of God. As we give time to join with the Source of Love within us, we open to a new way of being in this world… As we feel the Love from our Father, we naturally extend it to the world… we naturally see that this same Love is in everyone… We happily join with this Love and let It carry us into ways of true helpfulness…

Fear thoughts fall away as we remember that the Father and the Son are joined as one eternally… We are filled with gratitude as we remember that this is forever true.

Seeing the Christ in Every Brother

When you meet anyone, remember it is a holy encounter. As you see him you will see yourself. As you treat him you will treat yourself. As you think of him you will think of yourself. Never forget this, for in him you will find yourself or lose yourself.

Give him his place in the Kingdom and you will have yours. (A Course in Miracles, T-8.III.4:1-5;5:12. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

The Kingdom of Heaven is shared with everyone. God gave all of Himself to everyone equally. As we recognize that we share the Christ Mind with every brother, and realize it is our one real Mind, we see our brother as he really is and not what we would make of him or how he would see himself.

We want to return to the truth. We have the opportunity to practice this every day as we let the Holy Spirit show us the truth about every brother. And for this we give thanks.

The Way to Freedom

There is no more effective way to begin to free yourself from the egoic misidentification and its consequences than to turn over decision making to the Holy Spirit. This is what is meant by surrender. You have relied on the ego as your guide and identity for too long, and it has cost you dearly. The most effective way to withdraw your allegiance is to turn your life over to the Guide God has given you. He will not fail to lead you out of the trap you have made and back to freedom in God. (Quote from From the Christ Mind Book II, p. 228)

The most important habit we can develop to free ourselves from the bondage of the ego mind is to step back and listen for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Time spent in quiet listening as you open to the Holy Spirit’s peace and understanding will lead you to Heaven. The Holy Spirit will lead you to the awareness of Love’s Presence.

With your willingness to be open and listen, the Holy Spirit shines away the false ideas which have blinded you to your true Identity in the Mind of God. Now is the time to free yourself from the bondage of the ego. Now is the time to accept Holy Spirit’s help.

God’s Justice Sees Innocence Equally in All

God offers you the means to see [your brother’s] innocence. Would it be fair to punish him because you will not look at [the innocence that] is there to see? Each time you keep a problem for yourself to solve, or judge that it is one that has no resolution, you have made it great, and past the hope of healing. You deny the miracle of justice [seeing innocence equally in all] can be fair.

If God is just, then can there be no problems that justice cannot solve. (A Course in Miracles, T-26.II.5:5-6:1. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

As we are willing to accept the Holy Spirit’s vision, we see past the forms of separate bodies to the innocence that is the truth about everyone. This vision sees beyond what the body’s eyes can see. The body’s senses were made to deny true vision. This is why no problem can be truly solved within the limits imposed by the body in the world of separation.

The appearances of myriad problems in the world are different coverings for one problem — the belief that separation is real. The Holy Spirit knows only oneness is real and that belief in separation is simply a mistake to be corrected. From the vantage point of seeing innocence equally in all, the Holy Spirit is able to resolve every problem in a way that no one loses, no one sacrifices and everyone is blessed.

This is why we need to practice moment by moment holding our minds open to the Holy Spirit’s vision. As we align with His vision, perceived problems are quickly resolved in the Light of Love. The Light of Love shows us everyone’s innocence and shows that we are all united in that Love.

Today we choose to accept Holy Spirit’s help to let down the walls of separation and welcome God’s gift of perfect unity and peace.

Serving the Truth

The great problem of this world, to find meaning amid meaninglessness, purpose among the purposeless, fulfillment in the midst of the unfulfilled, can only be solved through commitment to living a life of service to Truth. To serve the Truth is to accept your part in the Great Plan of Atonement, and do your best to complete it. By doing this, you become a source of Light and blessing in a world badly in need of both. We stand together, all who have made that commitment, in the Light and Love of God, as one endless chain of Grace and healing that circles the entire world and reaches all the way back to Heaven. There is no place where God’s Grace is not for those whose hearts are open to receive It, and by this receiving to share It with their brothers. (From the Christ Mind Book II, p.60. The path to Joy is the path to Truth. Joy cannot be found in the false world of the ego thought system. Pursuit of the ego’s dream is the pursuit of hell — guilt, fear, sadness, pain, frustration, suffering, a sense of being unfulfilled.

The choice to follow Holy Spirit’s lead, to let Him guide all our thoughts and doing, to let Him reinterpret all our perceptions, is the path to Heaven. The Holy Spirit will always guide us to perfect happiness, deep peace and fulfillment beyond description. His guidance will always lead us to our Home in Heaven. Following Holy Spirit’s lead is how we serve the Truth and take our part in the Great Plan of Atonement.

Teaching Only Love

To teach is to demonstrate. There are only two thought systems, and you demonstrate that you believe one or the other is true all the time. From your demonstration others learn, and so do you.

The curriculum you set up is therefore determined exclusively by what you think you are, and what you believe the relationship of others is to you.… It is the teaching underlying what you say that teaches you. Teaching but reinforces what you believe about yourself. Its fundamental purpose is to diminish self-doubt. This does not mean that the self you are trying to protect is real. But it does mean that the self you think is real is what you teach. (M-in.2:1-3;3:1,6-10)A Course in Miracles,

In truth we are only Love and every brother is only Love. It is Love that unites us as God’s one Son. As we accept the truth that only Love is real, we teach it through demonstration. Because we are both teacher and learner, as we teach every brother that they are only Love, we are learning that we are only Love. We teach this by letting Holy Spirit shine His Light on all our thoughts. This is our practice for today.

Accepting and Sharing the Touch of Christ

The gifts [of God] are yours, entrusted to your care, to give to all who chose the lonely road you have escaped. They do not understand they but pursue their wishes. It is you who teach them now. For you have learned of Christ there is another way for them to walk. Teach them by showing them the happiness that comes to those who feel the touch of Christ, and recognize God’s gifts.

Become the living proof of what Christ’s touch can offer everyone. God has entrusted all His gifts to you. Be witness in your happiness to how transformed the mind becomes which chooses to accept His gifts, and feel the touch of Christ. Such is your mission now. For God entrusts the giving of His gifts to all who have received them. He has shared His joy with you. And now you go to share it with the world. As you allow the touch of Christ to heal your mind, you know that it is shared equally with everyone. You feel the happiness and safety that come with remembering the truth about our one Identity in God. You let yourself be carried to the truth all through the day. These are God’s Gifts. Instead of feeling vulnerable to an outside world, we accept our invulnerability. We feel the joy of receiving Love and extending it equally to all. Fear fades away as our Identity in Love is recognized.
