Accepting Holy Spirit’s Gentle Correction

What is the holy instant but God’s appeal to you to recognize what He has given you? Here is the great appeal to reason; the awareness of what is always there to see, the happiness that could be always yours. Here [in the holy instant] is the constant peace you could experience forever. Here is what denial has denied revealed to you. For here the final question [do I want to see what I denied because it is the truth?] is already answered, and what you ask for given. Here [in the holy instant] is the future now, for time is powerless because of your desire for what will never change. For you have asked that nothing stand between the holiness of your relationship and your awareness of its holiness. (A Course in Miracles, T-21.VIII.5. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

“Do I want to be happy? Do I want to accept the truth of What I am, the Self that God created?” These are the same question. God’s Will for us is perfect happiness and our true Self share’s God’s Will. If we are not in constant joy it is because we have answered “no” to these questions.

The ego always says no to the truth. If we identify with the ego and its thought system, we are choosing against God’s joy and God’s peace.

By the grace of God, we have the means within our minds to change that choice. We need only offer all our thoughts to the Holy Spirit with willingness to have them transformed into the singular desire to accept the truth of What we are. The Holy Spirit will happily dismiss all our thoughts of denial and return our true Thoughts to us bright and clean, shining the Light of Love in our minds.

We dedicate today to practice giving all our thoughts to Holy Spirit for His gentle correction.
