Accepting the Light We Are

I will there be light. I will use the power of my will today. It is not my will to grope about in darkness, fearful of shadows and afraid of things unseen and unreal. Light shall be my guide today. I will follow it where it leads me, and I will look only on what it shows me. This day I will experience the peace of true perception.

There is no will but God’s. I am safe today because there is no will but God’s. I can become afraid only when I believe there is another will. I try to attack only when I am afraid, and only when I try to attack can I believe that my eternal safety is threatened. Today I will recognize that all this has not occurred. The ego is the idea of a will in opposition to God’s. Because there is no will but God’s, the ego’s “will” can only seem to be true in a dream. Dreams are not real. But when we are dreaming, we perceive the dream as real. That is why we need help from beyond the dream to awaken to the Will we share with God.

We will there be Light when we accept God’s Will as ours. As we accept the Will God shared with us, we automatically join in His Will to extend His Light. In this joining we accept His Love and Light as our own, which automatically leads to extending Love and Light. That is our function as God’s Son. When we remind ourselves that we will there be Light and that our Will is the same as God’s, we accept the true Self that God created us to be. We awaken from the dream.
