Accepting the Eternal Present

This morning we were guided to read A Course in Miracles Text, Chapter 13, Section VI, “Finding the Present.” This section is very helpful to me right now because I still need help from the Holy Spirit to let go of the past and future. I have observed myself thinking about how the future “should” go or how I want something to happen in the future. Our reading this morning was very helpful because it helped me remember that the eternal present is the only time there is. It helped me remember there is no past or future.

As I am willing to be aware of the eternal present. I see what is true now about every brother, including myself. In this section we are told, “God’s Son is still as loving as his Father. Continuous with his Father, he has no past apart from Him. So he has never ceased to be his Father’s witness and his own.” (T-13.VI.13:5-7) Seeking and finding the eternal present is my practice for today.

My dedication today is to let Love be my guide in every moment. Since Love does not condemn, this means letting go of all judgment. I am willing to let Holy Spirit judge all things on my behalf. His judgment will lead me to the eternal present where I recognize that only Love is real.
