Opening Our Minds to Accept the Truth

You are one Self, united and secure in light and joy and peace. You are God’s Son, one Self, with one Creator and one goal; to bring awareness of this oneness to all minds, that true creation may extend the allness and the unity of God. You are one Self, complete and healed and whole, with power to lift the veil of darkness from the world, and let the light in you come through to teach the world the truth about yourself.

You are one Self, in perfect harmony with all there is, and all that there will be. You are one Self, the holy Son of God, united with your brothers in that Self; united with your Father in His Will. Feel this one Self in you, and let It shine away all your illusions and your doubts. This is your Self, the Son of God Himself, sinless as Its Creator, with His strength within you and His Love forever yours. You are one Self, and it is given you to feel this Self within you, and to cast all your illusions out of the one Mind that is this Self, the holy truth in you. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.95.12-13)

We will remind ourselves frequently today that we are one Self, united with our Creator. This includes everyone we meet or think of today. It includes everyone.

As we let this thought sink into our awareness, it opens our minds to accept the truth that we are in perfect harmony with all there is. This thought leads us to peace of mind that is beyond this world. It leads us to the remembrance of the one Mind that is our Self, the holy truth we all share.

Release from Bondage

You have been called, together with your brother, to the most holy function this world contains. It is the only one that has no limits, and reaches out to every broken fragment of the Sonship with healing and uniting comfort. This is offered you, in your holy relationship. Accept it here, and you will give as you have accepted. The peace of God is given you with the glowing purpose in which you join with your brother. The holy light that brought you and him together must extend, as you accepted it. (A Course in Miracles, T-18.I.13)

As we join with the Holy Spirit in returning to wholeness and oneness instead of reinforcing separation, we comfort and are comforted. We heal and are healed. We reinforce our holy relationship with every brother. We join with the Holy Spirit in seeing everyone as the one Spirit of Love they really are. This is our one true purpose, one that brings us God’s peace and joy.

Today we practice returning to wholeness — holiness. We are willing to accept Holy Spirit’s help to see that every brother is still as God created them. Nothing has happened to change God’s one Son. Here we are released from bondage. Here is our freedom from the ego’s belief in separation.

We Give the World a New Purpose

Those who would see the witnesses to truth instead of to illusion merely ask that they might see a purpose in the world that gives it sense and makes it meaningful. Without your special function has this world no meaning for you. Yet it can become a treasure house as rich and limitless as Heaven itself. No instant passes here in which your brother’s holiness cannot be seen, to add a limitless supply to every meager scrap and tiny crumb of happiness that you allot yourself. (A Course in Miracles, T-26.I.5)

Our purpose today, and every day, is to see every brother as the Holy Spirit sees them. With the Holy Spirit, we are able to see past the illusion of separation to the reality of oneness with God that is the truth about every brother.

We can tell if we are seeing with Holy Spirit by the level of innocence we see. When we are seeing innocence we see the Love in our brother That is eternally present. We are filled with appreciation and gratitude. He is our dearest Friend. We feel our brother’s blessing as he reflects our own holiness back to us. All this comes when we give the world a new purpose, directed by the Holy Spirit.

We Are One in Our Creator

Father, our Name [Identity] is Yours. In It we are united with all living things, and You Who are their one Creator. What we made and call by many different names is but a shadow we have tried to cast across Your Own reality. And we are glad and thankful we were wrong. All our mistakes we give to You, that we may be absolved from all effects our errors seemed to have. And we accept the truth You give, in place of every one of [our errors]. Your Name is our salvation and escape from what we made. Your Name unites us in the oneness which is our inheritance and peace. Amen. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.184.15)

Today we practice remembering our oneness with our Creator… Today we practice letting our barriers to oneness be removed by our inner Teacher… We ask His help to see all things as He sees them… We accept the peace and Love and joy that comes with accepting our one true Reality…

Going Through Our Day with Ease Instead of Angst

As we go through our day many disruptions seem to pop up — little distractions, little upsets, little judgments that disturb our peace.

Today we would practice being mindful to observe these distractions and take them to our true Self to receive a better way — the way of ease, simplicity and Love. We let go of thinking we know on our own.

We open our minds to the mind healing that the Holy Spirit brings… We pause and listen… We let the way of ease flow through… We let the Light of the Holy Spirit shine through as we go through all our little projects for the day.

We are so grateful for all the help we receive as we allow in the ease and peace and Love of the Holy Spirit.

The Gifts Forgiveness Offers

Open your eyes today and look upon a happy world of safety and of peace. Forgiveness is the means by which it comes to take the place of hell. In quietness it rises up to greet your open eyes, and fill your heart with deep tranquility as ancient truths, forever newly born, arise in your awareness. What you will remember then can never be described. Yet your forgiveness offers it to you. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.122.8)

Our true Self is eternally happy and in deep peace, knowing It is invulnerable and perfectly safe. To experience this for ourselves we need to let go of the false image we have taught ourselves to believe is what we are. Forgiveness is the way we let go of this false image.

Having bought into the belief system that made the false image, we need help from outside this belief system to let it go. That Help is ever present, ready to help us forgive when we are willing to accept it. When we insist on being the interpreter of what appears in our world, we block the awareness of our true Self. The practice of setting aside our interpretation and opening our minds willingly to the Holy Spirit’s interpretation frees us from the bondage of our limited belief system.

Today is another opportunity to give ourselves the gift of practicing turning over all our interpretations to the Holy Spirit with willingness to receive His interpretation in their place. This is how we receive the gifts forgiveness offers.

Receiving Love’s Blessing

Today we dedicate to letting Love guide all our doing. Love is always truly helpful. It always guides us to do what is helpful for all our brothers, for all the world. By choosing to let Love be our Guide in all our doing, we are absolved of guilt. What is done with Love is always harmless, for it recognizes our oneness with all that Is. What is one cannot harm Itself.

With this dedication, we receive the blessing of learning that Love is What we are. Today we would receive Love’s blessing.
