The Love We Are Blesses the World

A day devoted now to gratitude will add the benefit of some insight into the real extent of all the gains which you have made; the gifts you have received. ²Be glad today, in loving thankfulness, your Father has not left you to yourself, nor let you wander in the dark alone. ³Be grateful He has saved you from the self you thought you made to take the place of Him and His creation. ⁴Give Him thanks today.

Give thanks that He has not abandoned you, and that His Love forever will remain shining on you, forever without change. ²Give thanks as well that you are changeless, for the Son He loves is changeless as Himself. ³Be grateful you are saved. ⁴Be glad you have a function in salvation to fulfill.

³Today we smile on everyone we see, and walk with lightened footsteps as we go to do what is appointed us to do.

Receive His thanks, and you will understand how lovingly He holds you in His Mind, how deep and limitless His care for you, how perfect is His gratitude to you. ²Remember hourly to think of Him, and give Him thanks for everything He gave His Son, that he might rise above the world, remembering his Father and his Self. The Love we are shines brightly, forever without limit. It is What we are. All our real Thoughts extend the Love we are. This Love surrounds us and keeps us safe in Its changelessness. It inspires us to be loving and truly helpful. It sees Love everywhere. If it sees someone who seems to be unaware of the Love they are, It answers the call for Love with Love.

All day, every day, we are called to remind ourselves that Love is our Reality. It is ours to share. It blesses us as It blesses the world. We give thanks for our Creator’s gift of all His Love. And we share It with the world in gratitude.

Accepting the Love We Are

Father, I will but to remember You.

What can I seek for, Father, but Your Love? ²Perhaps I think I seek for something else; a something I have called by many names. ³Yet is Your Love the only thing I seek, or ever sought. ⁴For there is nothing else that I could ever really want to find. ⁵Let me remember You. ⁶What else could I desire but the truth about myself?

This is your will, my brother. ²And you share this will with me, and with the One as well Who is our Father. ³To remember Him is Heaven. ⁴This we seek. ⁵And only this is what it will be given us to find. (A Course in Miracles, W-231. See also ACIM Lesson 231 Insights.)

This dream world is the effect of choosing to be separate from Love. Consequently, everyone here is searching for Love. The ego directs us to look for it in some form or circumstance. But Love is not a form or a unique situation that we can call our own. Love is not limited nor selective.

To remember our Father is to remember the Love we are. We cannot possess Love as something we keep for ourselves alone. Love is our Being, the Self our Father, Love, created. It remains forever united in Its oneness.

We resolve today to accept the Love we are by being loving. With Love guiding our thoughts and actions as our mission, we will be truly helpful. We will know we are safe and rest peacefully knowing nothing can change the Love we are. Love welcomes and joins with Love; nothing else exists.

Through Forgiveness We Awaken to God’s Peace

Father, today I am Your Son again.

Today we will anticipate the time when dreams of sin and guilt are gone, and we have reached the holy peace we never left. ²Merely a tiny instant has elapsed between eternity and timelessness. ³So brief the interval there was no lapse in continuity, nor break in thoughts which are forever unified as one. ⁴Nothing has ever happened to disturb the peace of God the Father and the Son. ⁵This we accept as wholly true today.

We thank You, Father, that we cannot lose the memory of You and of Your Love. ²We recognize our safety, and give thanks for all the gifts You have bestowed on us, for all the loving help we have received, for Your eternal patience, and the Word which You have given us that we are saved. God’s grace is so profound that no matter how emphatically we have insisted on believing we are separate, we remain united with our Creator with an unbreakable bond. We can dream of being separate, but we cannot make separation real. We can awaken to our true Self, forever at peace in God’s Mind.

We have been given a singular process that lets this awakening happen. We just need to forgive our mistaken belief in the various forms it is projected in our dream. Through forgiveness we remember that we are forever God’s Son. We awaken to His peace.

Our Mission Is to Be Loving

Listen, and hear your Father speak to you through His appointed Voice, which silences the thunder of the meaningless, and shows the way to peace to those who cannot see. ²Be still today and listen to the truth.

Be not afraid today to circumvent the voices of the world. ²Walk lightly past their meaningless persuasion. ³Hear them not. ⁴Be still today and listen to the truth. ⁵Go past all things which do not speak of Him Who holds your happiness within His Hand, held out to you in welcome and in love. ⁶Hear only Him today, and do not wait to reach Him longer. ⁷Hear one Voice today.

…begin with this request for your enlightenment:

⁵I will be still and listen to the truth.
⁶What does it mean to give and to receive?

Ask and expect an answer. ²Your request is one whose answer has been waiting long to be received by you. ³It will begin the ministry for which you came, and which will free the world from thinking giving is a way to lose. ⁴And so the world becomes ready to understand and to receive. Throughout the Course we are told that, as God’s Son, we are Love and nothing else. This is what His Voice speaks to us without interruption. But we must be willing to listen to hear His Truth. Our ministry is to teach only Love, for that is What we are.

We teach by our actions, thoughts and words. To teach Love, we must let go of our judgments which deny Love. This is why we must practice forgiveness all day, every day. This practice opens our mind to accept God’s Love. This is the truth His Voice speaks to us in stillness.

As we let ourselves experience His Love by giving It to others, we fulfill our mission. We live in peace and happiness as Love guides all our doing.

Christmas Celebrates Our One Self

Today we offer thanks that Christ has come to search the world for what belongs to Him. ²His vision sees no strangers, but beholds His Own and joyously unites with them. ³They see Him as a stranger, for they do not recognize themselves. ⁴Yet as they give Him welcome, they remember. ⁵And He leads them gently home again, where they belong.

Not one does Christ forget. ²Not one He fails to give you to remember, that your home may be complete and perfect as it was established. ³He has not forgotten you. ⁴But you will not remember Him until you look on all as He does. ⁵Who denies his brother is denying Him, and thus refusing to accept the gift of sight by which his Self is clearly recognized, his home remembered and salvation come. Christ is our true Self, the one Self that unites us with every brother and with God. As we accept our true Self, we recognize the Love in everyone. Our vision is clear, not clouded by illusions of separation. The Christ in us sees Himself in everyone and joins with them. The recognition of Christ in us is the acceptance of God’s gift of all of Himself.

This time of celebrating Christmas is the celebration of our one Self. This recognition is the only gift worthy of God’s Son, for it is the gift that was given Him in his creation.

Today we practice seeing with the eyes of Love. With that vision, we welcome the Self at one with our Creator.

How to Accept God’s Gifts as Our Own

I am as God created me.

This single thought, held firmly in the mind, would save the world. …⁴These words are sacred, for they are the words God gave in answer to the world you made.

Here is the Word by which the Son became his Father’s happiness, His Love and His completion. ²Here creation is proclaimed, and honored as it is. ³There is no dream these words will not dispel; no thought of sin and no illusion which the dream contains that will not fade away before their might.

Holy indeed is he who makes these words his own; arising with them in his mind, recalling them throughout the day, at night bringing them with him as he goes to sleep. ²His dreams are happy and his rest secure, his safety certain and his body healed, because he sleeps and wakens with the truth before him always. We are being asked to change our mind about what we believe is our identity. We have been told that God did not create the body. Reminding ourselves that we are as God created us is accepting the reality of our Self, which remains united with our Creator.

God is our Home. We dwell in His peace and His Love. We share His joy. The more we hold the thought that we are as God created us, the dream of separate bodies with separate minds in the world fades. We all seek for love and happiness. This thought has the power to restore perfect peace, happiness and Love to our mind.

The practice of affirming, “I am as God created me” to ourselves accepts God’s gifts as our own.

With a Quiet Mind We Remember Our True Self

Let this day be a day of stillness and of quiet listening. ²Your Father wills you hear His Word today. ³He calls to you from deep within your mind where He abides. ⁴Hear Him today. ⁵No peace is possible until His Word is heard around the world; until your mind, in quiet listening, accepts the message that the world must hear to usher in the quiet time of peace.

This world will change through you. ²No other means can save it, for God’s plan is simply this: The Son of God is free to save himself, given the Word of God to be his Guide, forever in his mind and at his side to lead him surely to his Father’s house by his own will, forever free as God’s. ³He is not led by force, but only love. ⁴He is not judged, but only sanctified.

In stillness we will hear God’s Voice today without intrusion of our petty thoughts, without our personal desires, and without all judgment of His holy Word. ²We will not judge ourselves today, for what we are can not be judged. ³We stand apart from all the judgments which the world has laid upon the Son of God. ⁴It knows him not. ⁵Today we will not listen to the world, but wait in silence for the Word of God. We are never alone. No matter how deeply we sink into the dream of separation, with its thoughts of isolation, vulnerability and need to defend, we still remain safe in the loving Mind of God. He has not forgotten us. Though we have rejected His Love, His Voice remains with us to guide us gently to awaken to the Love we are.

The ego speaks loudly and incessantly of our need to search for safety and happiness. But it leads us to look where these cannot be found. It is time to quiet our mind. As we set aside the cacophony of the ego’s chatter, we let our mind return to the singular thought of Love’s oneness. We remember we are God’s Son, one with Him in Love. We have not lost His Voice, but we do need to let go of the ego’s noise to hear the Voice speak of the joy and peace we share with God.

His Will is ours. In quiet we remember our Self Who is the Son of God.
