We Have Constant Help

…perception can be given a new purpose by the One Whom God appointed Savior to the world. Follow His light, and see the world as He beholds it. Hear His Voice alone in all that speaks to you. And let Him give you peace and certainty… (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.3.4:2-5)

The Holy Spirit, our inner Teacher, has gifts to give us the moment we are willing to open up to receive them… As we let our minds quiet and go to the Light within, we are lifted up to see the world anew…

With Holy Spirit we rise above the stories of the world to see the eternal presence of Love that is always there to see… Here we find peace… Here we find certainty… We let Holy Spirit carry us past the world to the awareness of Love’s presence…

We are grateful we have this constant Help as we are willing to receive it.

A Prayer to Awaken

Holy Spirit, I would make no decisions on my own today. I am willing to step back and let You lead the way. My purpose is to serve God’s plan that leads us Home. Help me to use all my doing in the world as expressions of Love.

As I let You be the judge of what everything is for, I learn to be truly helpful. With Your help, all things, situations and relationships serve to bring me closer to the recognition of the unity of Love that joins everything in oneness. I am willing to learn the lessons you have for me today that I may learn that I am the Self that God created.

We Accept God’s Purification of Our Mind

Purification is of God alone, and therefore for you. Rather than seek to prepare yourself for Him, try to think thus:

I who am host to God am worthy of Him.
He Who established His dwelling place in me created it as He would have it be.
It is not needful that I make it ready for Him, but only that I do not interfere with His plan to restore to me my own awareness of my readiness, which is eternal.
I need add nothing to His plan.
But to receive it, I must be willing not to substitute my own in place of it. (A Course in Miracles, T-18.IV.5:7-13)

All we need to do is let go of the idea that there is anything more valuable than all of God’s Love. Only Love is real, so Love is everything there is. The ego is the wish to have more than everything. Since it is impossible to have more than everything, the ego is an insane wish.

The world of form is the effect of the belief that it is somehow possible to have more than everything, to be special, to have more than all of Love. This belief blocks us from the awareness that we already have all of God’s Love, all of His peace, all of His joy.

We can become aware of God’s gifts to us only by letting go of the belief that blocks our awareness. The desire and willingness to let this belief be corrected is all we need to let Holy Spirit correct the error for us. From the vantage point of our belief in separation, it is impossible to free ourselves from it. We must let Holy Spirit correct the error for us.

Each time we are willing to take a perceived fear, guilt or judgment to the Holy Spirit with our mind open to receive His gentle correction, we make way for healing that releases us from the past and returns us to our Home in God. This practice is our journey of awakening. It is how we let God purify our mind.

We Always Have Help

Do not despair, then, because of limitations. It is your function to escape from them, but not to be without them. If you would be heard by those who suffer, you must speak their language. If you would be a savior, you must understand what needs to be escaped. Salvation is not theoretical. Behold the problem, ask for the answer, and then accept it when it comes. Nor will its coming be long delayed. All the help you can accept will be provided, and not one need you have will not be met. Let us not, then, be too concerned with goals for which you are not ready. God takes you where you are and welcomes you. What more could you desire, when this is all you need? (A Course in Miracles, M-26.4)

We always have all the help we need to awaken from the dream of separation. If it seems difficult to forgive, to let go of the belief that the world of form is real, it is only because part of us is reluctant to accept the help. Gratefully our small willingness opens the door for help to come in that begins the process of freeing us from our self-imposed limitations.

Each time we turn to the Holy Spirit for help, we open the door further to receive the help we need. The Holy Spirit never gives up on us. We just need to keep practicing. We need to bring our thoughts of fear, guilt, lack and limitation to the Holy Spirit, moment by moment, with willingness to accept His help.

With this practice we will accept more and more help. Difficulties that seemed overwhelming become easier and easier to pass by. More and more we will be able to see the unity we have with all our brothers. Old habits of judgment will weaken as we turn over our judgments to the Holy Spirit to judge on our behalf.

He will always show us the Love and innocence beyond all the forms of the world. We will see it in our brothers and recognize it in ourselves more and more. We dedicate today to the practice of accepting Holy Spirit’s help.

Today We Turn to the Peace of God Within

The peace of God is shining in you now, and from your heart extends around the world. It pauses to caress each living thing, and leaves a blessing with it that remains forever and forever. What it gives must be eternal. It removes all thoughts of the ephemeral and valueless. It brings renewal to all tired hearts, and lights all vision as it passes by. All of its gifts are given everyone, and everyone unites in giving thanks to you who give, and you who have received. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.188.3)

Within us is an eternal refuge which we can turn to for relief from the chaos of the world. God gave us His peace and it remains with us forever. The world of form, the dream of separation, can seem to cover it up but His peace still remains in our hearts. We need only redirect our attention from the figures in the dream to the peace of God within.

When we turn to the peace of God within and accept the gift of peace, we look on the world anew. The dancing shadows that seem to battle in the world are looked past and we are able to see the changeless Love beyond the conflict.

Today we practice mindfulness to be aware of disturbances to our peace. We take these disturbances to the peace within where the Light of God shines through the false images. It shows us our safety and answers the call for Love with Love.

With this practice today will be a day of happiness and peace. It will be a day of the Love in us joining with the Love in all our brothers. And it will be a blessed day indeed.

Trust in Holy Spirit’s Process

It is easy to get wrapped up in the experiences of the world. The body’s senses were made to make the world of form seem real. Most of our life has been invested in the seeming reality of the world. This investment, this valuing of the world of false images, needs to be undone to make way for the acceptance of the Reality of Oneness in Love.

Time is a key ego mechanism for making the world seem real. It seems so easy to get wrapped up in scenarios of so much to do in so little time. The seeming shortage of time fosters stress, uncertainty, confusion and even helplessness. Time seems to be out of our control, marching relentlessly onward, disregarding our needs.

Yet time is just part of the illusion of being separate. It is not real. But it does no good to tell ourselves time is not real. We need help from outside the belief system that embraces time as real. We need to turn to the Holy Spirit moment by moment to receive His way of perceiving the world. He recognizes what we see but He does not believe it.

If we are willing, He will help us see past these appearances. As we let go of the seeming urgency of time, peace returns to our once troubled mind. In peace we receive inspiration that leads us away from the detours of the ego thought system and saves us time. This inspiration applies to even the minutest details of our doing in this world if we are willing to receive it. As we are willing to accept His help, the Holy Spirit uses time to free us from the world of limitation, to free us from time’s tyranny. Today we will practice trusting in Holy Spirit’s process.

God’s Love Flows Through You

Your true Beingness is in God and of God… Let yourself remember this today as you go about your daily activities… Your true Beingness is in God and of God… This is the same as saying your true Beingness is Love which is universal…

Let yourself soak in this remembering today… You let related thoughts come to you from the Holy Spirit… You remember you are loved and that you extend that Love to everyone equally… You are Love and of Love… This is your Source, your Beingness…

You accept the truth today about yourself and everyone… This brings you great happiness… great peace… and great joy… This is what it means to rest in God… God’s Love flows through you because Love is What you are…
